Well, with some VERY godly equipment it might be possible, I fought a zon who could shoot arrows at 7fps with almost WF-like dmg (and without the kb which wasnt allowed) , almost all res max and 1000 life without bo. And a lot frw and fhr too. But that the most expensive char i've ever seen in 1.10, rare 2 socket circlet with life/str/res all, 15x/ias with high life in a dusk, 4xx%/ias bow etc . I have no idea if normal zons could do well vs nec and windy's, but vs barbs it should be possible ;)

They're pretty much dead against trappers unless they go absorb though. But they're very excellent in shooting down non-teleporting stuff (100% win against nontp hammerdins......)

bowazons are still effective at pvp btw if enigma is used by 99% of b.net i dont see y kb is bm unless ur talking bout leagues so no tele from enigma and no kb

Actually yea. Lately i've been seeing more and more bowzons "owning" in duels. My guess is they maxed out critical strike for the double damage. Then they have alot of max damage charms and 290's. If they use a BotD bow or a WF or a rare 400+% bow, that will easily put them over 3.5k physical damage with guided, not including the poison, which if you filled your whole bottom row with 290's, thats massive pois damage. Add some frw and fhr charms and maybe even a cats eye ammy too and shes be very fast.

Then multi shot the summoners. The massive poison would kill the "pets" and then use guided on the necro or druid.

For anything else, alot of running and shooting should do you just fine :lol:

My zon does 3.6k with inv. full of max/ar charms, 2xias/ed jewels on helm and lionheard. I believe 4k is possible if I swap out the shaels with ed/ias on bow. Then find 19+ dex rings and use razor tails.

yes, plenty of zons can still old their own (09 style)

however, those all too common 160/60s and 120/45s are needed, and lots of fine scs of vita/fine scs of inertia.

ive seen many zons still beat up on necros/windys/barbs...just takes an experienced player with really good gear.

dont let a tele necro tele right on top of you and kill you in 1 second due to your low hp. and also hope that the nec doesnt block any of your arrows.

Bowzons can definitely do well in the right hands. The dynamic is very different now that leech is all but gone and they can't just tank. They should be played the way necros were played in 1.09, run and gun. Necros will be very tough though, but necros are tough for everyone because they are insanely overpowered right now. Enigma necros shouldn't lose against most classes unless they mess up.

KB is definetly not a necessity, but for the average player a bowazon will have kb (wf). Other options are very expensive (botd bow, which kinda sucks imo, or godly rare). The zon I was talking about could run so fast that she outran me, stopped to shoot 1-3 times then got away before I could ww, and I have a LOT of frw. And she didnt have any poison, just a lot fine/vita, frw, fhr sc.

Also my amazon uses cruel matriarch bow of evisceration,the quickest bow on the game(or so i believe) and i do 4.7k physical. trappers are the hardest problem,but i got 147/60 ias with 24 fhr :)

you need like 180-200 frw not counting increase speed skill to catch a proper zon if you don't teleport.

Speed is all that matters vs bow zons. You cannot kill what you can't catch.

yea i have a hardtime catching them with my barb, but hes fast enough to keep them running the whole time so they cant get a shot off...

its also fun tricking them too. run one way so they think they can run the other way, then switch right away so they run into you. works almost everytime ;)

when attacking, avoid or dogde is more like 70%, dunno about evade

without any fine vita scs my zon does like 5k physical 8 frame, 4k 7 frame

it all just depends if u know how to duel different chars.
like vs ww barbs with tele i just run in circles so they cant ww me easily, vs casters shoot and run

around 1.1k Life, 2k~ dmg. 7FPS. I may have low damage.. but I know what i'm doing. :thanks:

My charms consist of LR/RW SC's, 3 max/R/W SC's, and 3/xx/xx SC's. I sometimes stack up on poison depending who I'm dueling (IE. ES Sorcs, High Life WD's/necro's, etc). The biggest mistake I see most zons doing is standing still and shooting, it's best to keep moving and shooting at the same time.

I currently have a PsnJav/Bow Zon in the making.

I played all the chars you listed but no zon ever gave me a lot of trouble. zons aren't a good one on one class anymore in teams they rip me apart in a flash.

the only buid i consistanly have a problem with r ne pallys that use dsync with charge.
other than that, its a pretty even match up vs most chars.
4-6k physical is more than enough to kill most chars

Still good for distance, amazons were wasted when pierce wasn't included anymore, but why did they still leave this skill? I believe they will return pierce when everyone begins to like other characters more. Hopefully.....

well ive decided to start a speed zon based around very fast runwalk and fast shooting.. till i get an enigma then ill change my runwalk charms to something else and use wiz spike/lidless on switch for fast transportation.

watch out for prision,decrep,holy freeze, and clay golem lamers. those things really make it hopeless for zons.

So you're telling me pierce was put in the game solely for guided arrow? Come on man get a grip. :grrr:

pierce still works, if u havent noticed, multishot/lightning fury and all the other throw/shoot skills work. piercing once, not 4-5 times :)
that was the bug, piercing more then once.
guided arrow was never supposed to pierce, that was blizzard aware of, that was what was imbalanced. now that guided arrow doesnt pierce anymore, ppl are complaining about it.
i dont really get it, ive played bowazon in 1.09 without pierce jus fine. the only thing changed is that now necros have gotten their(maybe deserved)place of dominance, tho i dont agree on all the noobs being able to jus teleport and own everything in sight.
try to get 7 fps with a base speed (-10) bow, get some knockback, and decent damage(3k+ will do it) as well as perhaps 100-200 poison dam and some open wounds.
always have good amounts of deadly strike, from highlords/gore riders.
this can kill even the top chars/builds. ppl underestimate good zons. cuz they are rare :)

no one has mentioned fhr, with my charms, verdgs, coa and boots I have 90% (bp is 86%) and I see a significant difference in my win ratio. You simply spend less time in recovery and shoot more. For example, w/o absorb I can tank most trapper sins. At this point I must give my props to Bt-lightdash. His short guide is great, I followed it except for boots, I have rare ones eith 30 frw, 30 fhr and resists and I use Lidless. Here it is, if you can get the gear it will serve you well:

1 point in all Prerequisites
20 points in critical strike
10 points in dodge
10 points in avoid
20 points in evade
1 point in decoy
1 point in valk
20 points into guided arrow
[if u do lvl up higher u can spent remaining skill points into dodge,avoid,whichever u prefer]

with 8 frame ga
with aviod at bout 70%, i have plenty of time to beat a necro if they bone prision. in the second it takes them to get on screen and cast it, i already got a name lock and started firing.
they have 75% to block and i have 70% to aviod. its basically who hits who.
6k bs vs 4-5k physcial with chance to double dmg. my attack is alot weaker and including 50dr, its even more but knockback helps

psn necros some are very good but others dont no wat thier doing. non enigma ones are much easier than enigma ones
i have about 15~ish runwalk charms so i run fairly quick.. esp when i switch to titans. this build is very fun but dificult because of item issues.. ive done some calculations and realized that id be pumping like at least 1k more dmg with a 160/60 armor than a 60 armor but o wells :) we cant have it all..so i guess this build is recommended for the rich (but wat build doesnt require u to have crazy items now days?)

also an anni helps

this should bost ur physical dmg to about 3-6k.
if u put psn sc's ur dmg can easily get to 10k max, but 3-4k of that will be over a few secs and since its psn it can be resisted. also alot of ppl consider alot of psn bm. but if its pubby duels its ok

rings- use to ravens. give u dmg, mana, and ar.
boots- i suggest sandstorm for the fhr and life

for skills, i would pump the rest into multi. it helps alot vs teleporters and u can use it to make ppl move to certain places for the kill with ga.
get to like lvl 85 and try to max it if u want. i did and i still have very high passives.

gloves- if u have no probs with dupes u can use those gale grasp, 20 ias, and the 2+ passives help. it also has duel leech. u can also find 20ias golves with 2-3+passives. but bloodfist will still work

stats: pump the rest into dex for more dmg, BUT, if u dont have a cta i suggest u get more vita till ur around 1.2k. otherwise u can pump the rest into dex and rely on scs and bo to get u into the 1.8k life range

im gonna start dueling in eof- keke so no poison for me.. i dont really like the idea anyways. guys it looks like theres no way i can get through with this build without heavy invest ment so heavey investment im going to give it.. i saw a 156/60ias armor with life for ladder in trade forums going for like 3 ists or something a while back.. ill just mf runs till i get there. thanks for all ur advice people :thumbsup:
