Best way to get an io rune?

Where should I look, who should I kill that would give me the best odds of finding an io rune?
I was trying to find it so I can make a "white" wand for my friends necro

I don't know if it's the best place or not, but I've had the nightmare Countess drop one for me recently and I haven't done very many runs. That might be a good place to try until you get a better answer.

on ladder, nm or hell countess and cube up.

nl, trade for it. i'm sure you can get one for a handful of pgems or something.

On ladder (and nonladder i'm sure) the best place to find runes ist and below are hell countess.

I just got 2 io runes today, one from my nightmare hellforge drop and one from my hell hellforge drop.

I usually get an io from nm forge...as for countess....im yet to find one....but cubing it up shouldnt be too hard. i find that nm countess drops sols quite often, although it could just be me....

i know she can drop up to an ith(or was it an ist) on hell for her special rune drop i was curious on what she can drop for nightmare

Actually she goes up to Vex on Hell.

You should be able to buy one for let's say 6 pgems.

yea, i can recommend doing countess runs on hell if you need runes, found a loud of lower runes that i cubed up to an ist then a little later she dropped me another ist :clap: I love that ***** :lol: atleast that made up for the last hell hellforge quest i did, gave me a lousy fal, now i just need her to either drop a wex or a gul so that i can make a hoto for my hammerdin

She can drop up to Lo. Her special ability to drop runes only extends up to Ist. She has no real better chance to drop Gul through Lo than any other Hell super unique.

EDIT: Oh ya, Absolut, if you're on East non-ladder I can just give you an Io. I have found so many and I just have no use for them.
