GSA question

Is an upgraded GSA better then the lycanders? I found one yesterday and im looking for the rune lum so i can upgrade it but am worried that it won't be as good. I talked to a friend that has an upgraded one and his damage is lower then mine but im thinking that the extra ED and the damage to demons and undead combined with the extra ias on the bow might make up for it. Just don't want to wast the runes if im going to fine that the lycanders kills faster.

Can't you play with both bow before they are upgraded. See which one you like better..and upgrade that one. GSA upgrades to Hydrabow, so Lycanders should upgrade to Grand Matron bow?

Can you tell us the stats of the two bows? They both have quite a wide range of mods that could make a difference to your choice. Also you don't say what your Zon build is. GSA is usually better for a pure strafer but Lycanders is much better if you're using FA or Immolation as your main attack.

Lycander's Aim does upgrade to a Grand Matron bow. I've got one myself, and it does a pretty good job killing off monsters in Hell... Can't recall the exact stats as I don't have my characters here. I prefer it to my Buriza (non-upgraded) now, as it's faster and seems to kill just as well.

I can't compare it to the Goldstrike Arch though, since I unfortunately don't have one. Both bows should be pretty sweet upgraded. I don't think the base damage varies -that- much, and you can always socket either bow with a jewel or rune to make up for what it lacks. So I guess it all boils down to which mods you like better - Lycander's or Goldstrike's. Abilities can often be just as important as the base physical damage of a bow, so pick whichever suits your playing style the best!

I guess the GSA would upgrade to a Hydra Bow (same class as Windforce) and the dmg would be : (30-35) to (204-238) instead of (30-35) to (150-175)

There are 3 things that sound good with this bow :
- 50% IAS (and 20% more with a Shael)
- ED to Demons and Undeads
- increased AR

So, with a pair of LoH (20% IAS and +350% ED to Demons), a strafer would reach 90% IAS very easily and become a kind of Demon Huntress ! I really wonder how she would do in a Hell Diablo run... Has anybody tried it ?
