Best and safest untwinked ladder runner?

Hi. I haven't played D2 since the 1.09 patch. I think this new ladder system is a great idea which lead me to think what is the best untwinked ladder running class? I want to go from level 1 and beyond fast and untwinked(with a group of similar levels).

What are the best skills and item attributes to look out for?
If I can recall, is Life Leech, Dmg Reduce, AllRes, Enh Dmg %, +skills, and vitality still the top attributes?

What are some dangers to look out for in the game? Both monsters and types of PKs.

So basically, I'm just looking for the best and safest class with specific skills to let me blaze through levels and climb the ladder.

Go with a skelemancer.

i was browsing through the strategy compendium on diabloii.net and also came across skelemancer. That looks pretty well suited for my taste.

i also came across Frosted/Zealot paladin. is that a viable build?

I'm also reading stuff about different PK'ers.

What is a bone necro tppk? and a triggazon?

Bone necro with bone spirit/bonespear, spams spirits etc. goes in town hostiles.. dead players..

Then there is amazons with guided arrows, they doesnt pierce anymore but lethal still ... if not using max block and walk, sometimes also level difference example.. 85 amazon in sewergame?

tornados spamming druid is also one to watch out
sorceress with charged bolts


games designed dangers, with any melee char starting from nightmare worldstone keep will be lot more dangerous place.. there is oblivion knights and Ironmaiden so keep your eyes open.

Yes, it's completely viable. Mine is lvl 85 or 86. But, even then I still have some problems in Hell. Cold/Physical Immunes are a pain in the backside, as is getting Mobbed.

It's for sure not the fastest or safest builds one can do untwinked.

I'd sooner take a Hammerdin, Sorceress or Summonmancer for untwinked.

javazon seems like a good build, pretty much same as it was in 1.09. but hmm.. cracked javs. is that a joke?
also, whats the most efficient sorc for lvling?
seems like frosted zeal wont be my first choice.

a little update on my progress:
i decided to use a skelemancer and he's lvl 70 ATM on WHCL.
funny thing was, while i was questing nm baal, he dropped me an soj. i thought that sojs still worth as much as they were in 1.09.

much to my surprise, i looked around the hardcore channel and this guy was offering SS, shako, some runes, wizzy, etc.. for an soj. i was like "what a scammer :grrr: " but know one else in the channel seem to complained.

so i asked around "what does an soj worth these days?" in the channel and found out they go for 3-4 SS!!! :cheesy:
