The crafting recipes have their own inherent %ed range, but the random mods that are rolled afterwards are just taken from the list of possible rare mods. So if the craft rolls a perfect 60%ed, and then on top of that you get perfect Cruel and Grandmaster's from the rare mods list (300% + 150%), you'd end up with a 510%ed weapon. The chances of this happening, of course, are... rather slim.

That MIGHT be true. However, it seems like the ol' 1.09 crafting rules still apply and "kings" and "merciless" or w/e are the highest +ed% you can get on top of the inherant +ed% from the recipes.
Of course, if someone has actually gotten a higher roll when crafting (like grandmasters/cruel) then I stand corrected.

In other words, in 1.09 you could get up to 260% ED (managable), and in 1.10 you can have up to 260% ED (sucky).

Actually someone posted a thundermaul craft screenshot in the barb forum .. it was 510%ED, with 2 sockets, the damage was insane! But yes, you can get Cruel and Grandmasters on the same craft along with the built in 60% as well as 2 sockets which can be ohm'd for a grand total of 610% .. or 40/15'd for 590%ed and 30IAS..
of course .. the chances of getting this are soooooooo slim, but if you did... you would definitly have a bnet one of a kind.. :)

... not to argue against my own info, but a screenshot does not a legit realm item make.
but if you did... you would definitly have a bnet one of a kind.. :)
Which would quickly be removed by some random fire-enchanted + other enchant boss.
