Exile question

What is the best elite paladin shield from which to make Exile runeword? I plan to use the same shield for my zealot/smiter.

Sacred Rondache. It has the highest average smite damage (by .5 base), respectable defense, and the lowest str requirements.

Any of the elite shields will do really. But since everyone uses exile for the defense , I would say vortex shield. They can get the highest defense. But they also have the highest reqs.

... and sadly the lowest block% :(

Oh, Sacred Targe has lowest requirements (lvl/str), highest block% and lowest defense (although not by a lot, 126-158 vs. 138-164).

eth vortex can easily have over 1k def. there are a lot of shields with enhanced def/ ar, and i had a non eth sacred targe with 41 res all-- traded that for beast rw nl :P
