How can i improve my barb...?

How can i improve my barb...? Other than getting perfect items, i.e. improved ED.
His items are:
Botd Cb (non eth)/Storm Shield
Eth Hellforge Plate Prudence (1.8k def) :thumbsup:
Low Arreats... the lowest any of my friends have ever seen..
7/14 String of Ears
Goreriders/ Draculs' Grasp
Raven Frost/Carrion Wind
29 Maras

And on Weapon switch he has dual echoing flails.

PS: He needs more life.

Use verdungos belt
the bugged barb ammy (2 barb skills 19 dex/str life)

you don't need a good defence one, being able to tele will more then make up for the defence loss, that and over 60 str.

What realm ladder or not hc or not

Hmmm get a 2nd raven if you can, then get an highlords, or get 2 angelic rings and get an angelic ammy. You might also wanna um your storm shield if you havent already.

I alread think your pretty well built, getting an enigma would be a bit of a waste, its highly overated I think and teleing around in melee duels just pisses people off, I think your better off with the Prudence. I'd say keep everything you got, but work on your AR and maybe try to find a better weapon. An Eth-Eternity, Beast, or even a Doom would be pretty kickass.

seems like ur on budget a lil.. try duress too.. the ow and fhr + ed% can take place of enigma -.-
like the others said.. get a highlords and verdungos too, try to aim for a 15% dr one if u cant get one tahts perfect or near perfect so u ahve max dr with ur ss.
the other pplz advice are good too (Darks advice on highlords and second frost) this will give u OW, more ar double dmg some resist max pdr and lotsa fhr and lil extra ed

K thanks guys, i think i'll go with the verdungos/highlords change but i still need maras to have good enough resists in hell.

I was thinking to Um my Arreats (15+ resists, nothing else gives that much res in a helm [that i can possibly afford]) and stick a P diamond in my SS (another 19 all res, i lose 3 all res compared to Um, but the P diamond is much cheaper), so what do you think of that change?

One Um rune and a few Ravens are np for me, i'll have to do some trading for verdunos though.

PS: the second raven's only for Ar + blocking right?

Sorry about the second post, wanted to add stuff (and be able to read previous posts while i type)

I sorta agree with Dark-Adonis, Enigma won't really help me with other melees, although it could give me a huge advantage over casters and chargers (they can charge away pretty fast if they start to lose ya know) but even then it's not like im gonna have a whole lot of fcr on my barb.

Wanted to add, I don't really need anymore OW with Goreriders and Draculs, a little bit more fhr is always nice, but that kind of def is sorta hard to match (my Stone has 1.8k but it has almost no other useful mods, except fhr)

Doom and beast may be a little pricey for me though.

As for replacing Maras with Highlord's.. that really will depend on my resists after im done changing everything else.

BTW: what's Corruption Heart?

Yeh um'ing your Arreats would be a pretty good idea, and a P Diamond'ed SS is just fine. So pretty much you'll be mostly set with a verdungo's.

BTW, what level is your barb and what level is your natural resistance? Have you done Anya in all 3 difficulty levels? Do you got an anni yet? Your resistances shouldnt be too much of a problem when your like in your high 80's/low 90's and you got an anni along w/ other resistance charms.

And yeh, the 2nd raven is for AR+blocking. But if you need the psn res, you might wanna hang onto that Carrion.

P.S - What realm are you on? I might like to duel your barb w/ my Pally sometime

im not sure if i have anya done in all 3 difficutlies yet, but nat res is lvl 3 or 4 right now (didn't want to open d2 right now and find out)
I don't have an anni on my barb, maybe i'll xfer my only one over for lvling.

Did he say he was only doing melee? Of course in melee high defence armor would be better but vs others you'll need tele or they can just tele away and attack.

corruption heart is an east non ladder ( I think) duped amulet with good stats.. though why people would advocate the use of dupes and whatnot is beyond me, but I wont go into that... I'd say use another ravenfrost and a highlords... but other people already said that, so I agree with them. Good luck.

I'll try some of the other things you guys sugested, already switched to verdungos (34/11.. i know, i need better) and it gave me about 500 extra life, i still want to get a better arreats before i waste an um on it though, and it looks like i'll probably switch to highlord's aswell.

if u really need resistance that bad then drop 1-3 points in Natural ressit
u can always p dia ur stormsehild too (19 all resist... um is 22 i dont think 3 is worth the price gap :P)

19+30 (from anya quest)+10(anny charm in worst possible stats)= 59 more resist O_o

Yea, i already have those 3 into resist, i'll drop another if im a few res short of 75 in hell with highlords though, im not gonna go past 5 though, + skills should take care of the rest. but i still need alot mroe life, im lvl 77 and only have 2.5k life wiht bo :( i think it's a bit low compared to other barbs. Maybe 190 str adn 100 dex is too much?

try to get enigma anyway. u dont have to use the tele in duels and the +2 skills, +strength, 45 frw, 8 pdr and good def is hard to beat. next try and get a better arreats. then for the love of god try and get a ETH botd cb. well thats all i got to say. gl and hf playin.

All pretty obvious stuff, enigma i can get with some effort and/or time mfing and a better arreats is an no-brainer. But Eth BotD will be difficult to get.

If i do get enigma, I will miss the high def, the res, and the fhr of Prudence, But since i just loaded a bunch of r/w charms (40% r/w worht of them) i cna run pretty fast.. and with enigma.. whoa...

To my previous post i wanted to point out the obvious -- that r/w is almost pointless with enigma.. due to tele.


Im not saying i have godly items lol, did you see the description of my arreats at the top? it's like a 153ed arreats with only like 3 leech.. it's probably the worst arreats bnet has ever dropped.
If you want to make commets on my build.. i think yo ushould know a little bit about it first. so here it is:

190 str.
95 dex.
rest to vita.

20 BO,
20 WW,
20 Sword mastery,
3 Natural Resistances,
1 Increased Speed,
1 Berzerk,
1 to Battle Cry,
Rest to Shout.

Any suggestions on that?
