Making a WW Pike barb

i was thinking of using a Cruel War Pike of Quickness .. 2 socketed .. dont know what to socket this with .. is this viable build ?? pvp maybe .. using that .. enigma .. arreats face .. verdungos .. highlords .. gores .. etc ?

if you're going to use the CWPQ, then you're gonna have to socket it with 2XShael runes in order to hit the final breakpoint!

base speed on a war pike is 20 i think and the break points are -10, -30, -60 for 2H weapons!

all WW barbs that have high leech/def/AR are viable builds! make sure you have a high defense because you're not gonna be wearing a shield and also try and have AS MUCH life as you can! high vitality/life charms/high lvl BO !!

you're also gonna have to get some Damage reduction somewhere in your gear!

now the biggest problem to me seems: how do you get a cwpq ???? i've been trying for agest to get cruels of quickness, but no1 seems to have them :S

War Pikes need 80% IAS to get a 4 fpa Whirlwind (This means Shael Runes instead of XX% dmg/ 15% ias jewels, and that's why I recommend to go for a Ghost Spear. I built a spear barb myself one month ago with a rare eth 340% mancatcher of self-repair, which was enough to 1-hit-k.o. Smiters with ww. So spears probably dont suck pvp either.

well i decided on a botd ghost spear ... but wut armor should i wear .. enigma ?? not exactly gonna give me a huge defense .. or should i get like something crazy like an eth steel carapace or eth something else ..

eth steel carapace sux imo, def is nice, but the rest of the mods on the armor suck... you'd be better off with a eth stone archon or something similar, gives over 3k def, AND has good mods. finally, an eth duress archon can give over 2k def, and also has VERY nice mods on it. also, the runes on those armors are quite common, so you can make new ones easily

i let mine expire. i bought it for 25 sojs (currently, an old soj is maybe rougly a ladder um now.) i tried to buy an eth cruel wp of evis, 2s but the bidding went over 120 sojs.

Well , that warpike wouldn't even hit the first WW break. I would take a CWPoQ over that warpike anyday.

I'm a big fan of Chains oh honor. It has some really nice allround mods. And ofcourse massive %resist. just the armor + anya quests + arreats gives you 125% all resist already. Then in combination with your natural resist and you're as good as set already.

Not to forget the +2 skills , 8% DR , demon / undead dmg (only for pvm :)) , 8% LL (again pvm) and ofcourse the 20 str. I would say if you have the runes , make this armor. The only thing this armor lacks in comparison to others is defense. You only get 70% def. Then again , enigma doesn't get that massive defense either.

it was my showoff wep for my titan barb. :) i was going to put 2 ohms in it, for like 1400 damage.
