What is the best way to go after Pindle? What I've been doing up to now is take the wp to the Halls of Pain and work my way up. The problem is that when you go up for the first hall area into Pindle's area, he's usually crowding the door with his minions and you appear right in the middle. Is there a way to start right at the entrance where the fallen zombies are (i.e. Anya's portal)? The portal goes away after you kill Nihthalak (sp?). Am I going about this the wrong way?

Best way is to go through anya's red portal in harrogath. That way you start at the entrance where the zombies are. I've heard that if you get the hall of pain wp, the portal disappears. Can't confirm this, but sounds like what happened in your case. (Because of this, I've never gotten the hall of pain wp).

Anya's portal will dissapear if you Kill Nithaliathk(wow can i ever butcher his name lol) AND get the wp. to keep the portal you either don't get the halls wp or don't finish that quest..which is usually what I do since there isn't any reward for doing it anyway.

Wow, thanks. That's helps a lot.

On a semi-related note, is it possible to repeat the cow level on a specific difficulty level? I've heard people talking about doing the cow level to MF but I was under the impression you can only do it once per character per difficulty level.

The cow quest is considered complete if you kill the cow king. After that, you cannot open it again in that difficulty level. So the trick is either 1) don't kill the cow king, or 2) use a different character to open the portal, or 3) join another game which was made by someone else.

As far as killing the cow king goes, you will have completed the quest if ANY player in your party kills the king.

Ok so let's say someone makes a game and opens the cow level. I join the game and they let me do the cow level but we don't party-up. I clear the level and kill the king. Can they open the cow level again in another game or will the portal remain open for them? Does Wirt's Leg get used up as soon as you open the portal?

If you saw the game in the list of games that you can join, then I believe you can kill the king without completing the quest for anyone. Reason is that you haven't completed the difficulty, so you "technically" can't complete the quest. Oh, if you see the Cow King dropping "milk bottles (aka stamina potions), you just completed the quest for everyone [doh! ;)] Hope that wasn't too confusing ;)

Cheers :drink:

WRONG: You can inscript your char's name in the item of your choice (excecpt potions, charms, etc.). Not quite a useful reward, tough. :uhhuh:

IMHO, you don't complete the cow level if Cow King is killed while you aren't there, even if he/it was killed by someone in your party.

Ok so if you don't kill the king, how do you open the cow level again later on? Does Wirt's Leg appear again in yoru inventory or does the portal just stay open?

It doesn't matter whether or not you kill the king, the portal will remain open. However if you or someone else in your party kills the King, you will get the completed quest, so ask ahead of time is someone is killing the king, then once they say they are, just hit 'P' then click on 'Leave' up top. You will leave the party and not get the quest completed.

Also once you make the portal all items in the cube disappear, you have to keep going back to Tristram to get the leg (Once you complete Cain's Quest the portal to Tristram is already open in circle of stones, so the creator should have it completed).

Also to open the portal you use:

One Tome of Town Portal + Wirt's Leg.

Yea, but by that point most people quit, or they have Wirt's Leg already.
