what is light radius?

It is the radius around you that projects light. If you notice when you are playing just around you it will be lit up and past that is dark.

Basically it's how well you can see around you. You will notice it best when it's nightime in the game, putting items that have + light radius makes the lighted area around you brighter and wider.

Light radius also determines when monsters detect you in dark areas.

You have a light radius of 13 by default, and the max is 18.

If you wear items that have - light radius (like duskdeep) in dark areas like the pit, monsters won't notice you until you're a bit closer.
