Kingslayer Runeword?

Got my frenzy axe barb to lvl 60 atm and have a 269% death clever waiting.
would like to know if a Kingslayer BA is worth the runes that go into it.
Bere in mind i cant afford a Doom or Beast atm so want a weapon with good dmg that will get me through hell unti l i can afford one. i like the CB mods and open wounds etc. on it but at only 270% max (this correct) not sure whether it will cut the mustard. if its not recommended would a runemaster (5 soc 26x%ed) socketed with a 15%ias/60ar, 15%ias/15max, 40%ed/4max, 30%ed/12max, and 1 more ed jewel of sum variety work?
any opinions welcome.

I think the 33% CB , 50% OW and the PMH are really nice on kingslayer. Together with the decent %ed and nice %IAS it's quite nice. I would say it's really worth the runes. This is from a NL perspective , where Gul is worth nothing ofcourse.

Mal Um Gul Fal... i don't think the runes are worth it. Gul is better used as a cube to Vex. Mal and Um aren't that expensive either, but have better uses imo.

As for that Runemaster... IF you are going to use it, I'd stick in either a Shael or a nice 15 IAS, or nice ED jewel.

If i were you, i'd try to get my hands on another Death Cleaver.

ok thanks for input. problem is i'm not rich, i like the idea of my runemaster doin lots of dmg with those jewels but dont no whether the theory will work in practice + the jewels can be used/traded for better things. still praying on a beast though :)

if kingslayer is expensive for you, i wouldn't use it.

that being said, the runemaster isn't worth those jewels. check the ias on frenzy and go with however many shaels it would take to hit the last bp, then stick it in your right hand.

also, ed/max-min jewels are bugged. max jewels' ed only raises min, min jewels' ed only raises max.

right 2 things...
1) i know diddly squat about break points, so wouldnt know how many shaels ias to add. etc.... so if u could point me in right direction or give a brief explanation i'd appreciate it.
2) i thought the ed/max-min were only bugged when put in armours, not weapons?

right i've read the statics post on the min max dmg jewels etc.. even though its bugged is it a great waste or more of an annoyance of dmg not as high as expected?

Death Cleaver over 265% ruuules. Socket it with Eth (-29% target defense in pvp) or ed jewels.

i dont play pvp, well i dont play well especially with frenzy, so i will try to get an ed/ias jewel as i need to hit the faster Bp's it seems. when u say ed jewel do u mean plain or will any do? do i need the extra 15%ias for a death cleaver? (i have 20% on highlords)

At least plain ed jewels, or ed/str, ed/max, ed/min, ed/ias jewels. If you`ve got enough ias from equipment, you can forget the 15% ias, since ed/ias jewels are very rare and costly. You can get more ias from gloves (Laying of Hands or others, such as Blood crafted Gloves).

Well Gul is worth more on L then on NL , that's why I wrote down the NL thing. Anyway , I think it's worth the runes myself. CB and OW are 2 really nice mods.

Yeah, I agree with Lunatic (I wouldnt dare not to :D )

Kingslayer in a BA can be used by a barb, a pala, a kicksin, so imo it's never a waste. It's not like Gul is so expensive, not on L and not on NL. When I played I wasnt rich at all, and I was able to make a Kingslayer and a Hoto. And it's a really nice axe. But I got mine 270%, so perhaps when its lower its not as good... I wouldnt know ^.^

it's all relative. when the patch first came out, i fell victim to the email password recovery bug. i was freaking out that they took my highest rune...a shael. :)

a month later, i was depressed when, in a fit of passion, i put my 2 ists (one from hellforge, other cubed) into an ali baba. both my highest runes gone in one crack!

now though i have 2 ohms, and a vex, so it's all good.

repair costs on a rare are pretty high, over 40k.

I *think* that the last one I made was 25K per dura point, but its been two weeks so my brain might be trying to fool me... But anyway, my Stone's were always the largest goldeaters I had (together with teleport charge amu+that set staff I used for my hammerdin).

hmm my stone is in Sup. dusk shroud, i think mines closer to 40k per dur, cus its down to 11 from 22 and around 4xxk atm so it isnt cheap, but a ral rune helps me out
