Simple question. I'm doing a meteorb build and would like to know what is the best lvl to be when I kill baal and go to NM and Hell? Right now i'm lvl 53.

I usually go to NM when leveling in norm baal runs become inefficient - around 45-50. Sasja meteorb guide says to go around 45. I went to NM around 45, and frozen orb owned until act 5. If you followed the guide, you should do fine at your current lvl.

I usually go to nm at 50, hell at 75ish ( only b/c so many hell runs get left when no one tele's etc that it gets annoying to rejoin games a lot)

for Normal to NM - asap - lvl 40 usually as then i can do NM Ancients if i need

for NM to Hell - i always have a look at the gear i want to wear, for example:

IK Barb @ 76 - due to armour and mace (iirc)
Tal Sorc @ 71 - due to armour
WF zon @ 73 - for WF :o
etc etc

Especially as you are a sorc, so finding somebody to teleport shouldn't be too hard :D

i do:

norm -> nm = 40.
nm -> hell = 70.

Yeah. You're way past going into NM now.

In fact, you could probably go through NM and hit Baal without repeating any areas for extra exp. With the Meteorb sorc I'm retiring, I managed to do Baal NM at 56.

Not that Hell could be done then very easily, but I just wanted to give an example of how easy NM will be for you at 53.

I went into hell in the low 70s. Basically just try it out every now and then after beating NM Baal. When you feel comfortable, then just stick to Hell games. Usually I just go back to NM for muling, or to kick the crap out of something if I suffer a frustrating death.

Cheers

Otto :)
