Did I mess up?

I recently made a wolfbarb, and i made a botd for him. I put it in an executioner sword. Im wondering if that was a mistake. So far i think he is doing pretty wel in PVM and owns in PVP (believe it or not) and im still having ar issues can someone help me with this?

u should always make botd in elite weapons, they get great damage out of it, your weapon wont have the same amount of damage, but it has some okish dam i guess,
to fix ar, get angelic rings+amulet and/or hsarus belts+boots, they add really good amounts of attack rating, get some steel or fine charms to get more attack rating. for dueling melee i suppose around 15-20k is ok for start, dunno how it will go if u meet a 30k def barb, then id pray :)

for one, your messed up horribily if the executioner sword wasnt ethral, and even if it was, it was still a huge waste of runes. always try to find the most elite weapons, 6 socketed, and ETHRAL, always ethral. the whole point of the zod rune is making the item indestructable, so why not take advantage by using the runeword on an ethral item. not only that but the damage will be twice as much as normal.......and yes u messed up.

Just to emphasize how important the ethereal portion of botd is: I made a botd in a regular 6 socket berserker axe, came to be 373% ed, and had 1xx-323 dmg. It had about the same killing power as my crescent moon runeword (202 max dmg) berserker axe.

Later I made botd in an eth berserker axe, came to be 383% ed, and it has 505 (about) max dmg.

323 vs. 505... yeah, huge difference, especially after adding in the rest of the ed% and min/max from charms and gear and skills. We're talking about nearly doubling your actual dmg overall.

Damn that bad eh, it is etheral by the way, Well gotta go get another zod now since I ****ed up my damn weapon, ill put it in a eth zerker this time

botd in any etheral should be good. it's certainly a mistake, but if it works, it works. no need to beat yourself up about it. you can probably rub it in even more after duels when you show your sword. :)
