SS and +str charms?

Since SS grants +30 to str, could I hv a char with 126 str, pick up enough charms to get +30 to str, took the SS then remove the charms and SS still remains?

You can use for example, a small item as main weapon to switch to when you die that adds enough strenght to use stormie. you can put this item inside horadric cube or take it from stash. With stormie on, you can switch this item back.

The best item to use seems to be Giant Skull. How crappy and hard to drop :D

If you die and then try recover your corpse, it will remain there with the stormshield on it (and perhaps other stuff as well which you can wear only because of the SS's str bonus) if it doesn't fit into your inventory (which will probably be filled up with potions at that time). So if you die a second time before recovering everything, you have two corpses. One has one half of your equipment and the other has the rest. Only one corpse will be saved when leaving the game (the one with the highest price), the rest will be irrevocably lost. So if you don't have a chance to reach any of the corpses you will have a serious problem.

Don't cheat the strength requirements because you may end up screwing yourself when you die. This only applies to softcore though. If you're hardcore, go ahead and cheat this way.

its not cheat, its just kewl to see my pally naked with 2nd comp and see him all equiped with 1st comp.

and how can you call this cheat? if an item add 30 to str, then why need 30 more str then the req of the item? i wish this works with mercs but dont... well it do half work
