Runeword Explanation

Loads of people talk about Runewords, but I don't have any idea what this is, anyone care to explain?

runewords are items that are made when you take a normal(white) item and socket runes into them. Cetain combinations of runes will produce more mods on the item.

well they are like letters u combine them to make a word. like the guy in act 5 who u hire ppl from. after u do his quest he gives u a few runes for a sockted shield but em in the right order and u get ur self a word which give some sweet stuff. ill give u one of the best. breath of the dying u need to get the runes vex,hel,el,eld,zod,eth in that order on any weapon with 6 sockets and u get good stuff from it.
