WW with "%chance to cast spell"

How do items with "%chance to cast spell" work with WW? When I continuously whirl through a group of monsters (i.e. keep the mouse button pressed until every monster is dead) does this count as one attack or does every single WW attack count?

Let me put it in other words:
I wear a pair of dracul's and I want to know how often the %chace to cast lifetap is calculated.
A) for every single hit I deal with WW
or
B) only once per WW "dance"

Look at it like this. Dracs has the same amount of chance to cast Life Tap as Atma's Ammy does to cast Amp. Basically, if the numbers are right, it should cast every 20 on hits (melee, not WW.) For more on this go check out the Wolf Barb thread and where Mule, Stef, and myself have gotten into this whole ordeal.

really, I'm sure I've seen Soul Drainers go off mid whirl (as well as IK armor enchant)

It was probably from an off swing in between whirls meme. Sometimes in between whirls your barb will throw out a random normal swing, depending on how close you are to the enemy.

hal, both those things are "on struck" so either I need another explination, or part of this quote isn't right

What? IK seet is When Struck, but Soul Drainers are On Striking. That means the IK set CAN trigger, but the Soul Drainers can't, in which case my and the other one both explain it: the Soul Drainers going off was probably from a normal swing in between whirls.
