The code is usually on a sticker on the CD case. If it's not there, I think you're pretty much out of luck, unless someone knows how to hack into the CD. I'm not sure if someone else's code will work.

tat's usually bad news if u don't have a code, u won't be able to install it. maybe someone here who doens't want to play anymore can lend u it? though it is not recommended fer u to ask. maybe u can ask the person u bought it from to give the code to you otherwise, ur out of luck. also is this diablo, diabloII, diablo expansion pack?
You can mail it to blizzard, they will send you a new CD + code. I believe this costs $10.00, though you'd have to check their website.
I lost mine about a year and a half ago, I just posted on some other forums I visit and sure enough someone sent me theirs since they don't play any more.

I wouldn't go encouraging people to start asking for cd-keys now...

If I'm not mistaken, they'll only send you a new CD... not a new code for 10 bucks. Basically this avenue is for worn out CDs, not for replacing CD keys.
IMHO, if you have to pay $10, might as well just buy a new game.

A keygenerator is what you're looking for. I don't think it's exactly legal to use one, but a lot of people do. A cd-key generated with a keygen will allow you to install the game, but probably won't let you play online. You'll have to get a real cd-key to play online.
What a friend of mine did to get some working cd-keys, is he went to an internet cafe that had games installed, and got the cd-keys he needed from the registry. I don't encourage, nor recommend doing that, though.
