question on delirum

Loosely following the meteorb guide, i am having a ton of fun with my new sorc. I also gave my new merc the best gear i have, and he is kicking some serious butt. Tanking in Act5 hell 4-5 player games.

Lvl78 sorc / lvl78 act2 defense merc. Gear:
* Doom polearm
* Smoke armor (upgrade to levithian or templar when he grows up)
* Delirum helm

Question, what excactly does lvl50 Delirum do? I see him turn into the S.doll and runs around, but.....

Exactly what you just said. The spell turn the wearer to a doll where you can only use regular attack or cast townportal on your left/right clicks.

I've tried one in single player and it was extremely annoying. I think the runeword is only useful for a noncaster sorc.

From my experience having delerium on a merc is pretty excellent, especially for a melee enchantress, the confuse is a life saver.

As far as the merc turning into a stygian doll, I love it....my merc moves faster, and seems to attack noticeably faster when he's in doll form. Not to mention that its hilarious! Something about a stygian doll running around killing things just makes me laugh.
