Im new on making barbs which is better i know that the zerk beats the cb in damage but what would you guys say i think barbs look better with a cb but looks or damage :scratch:

dont forget that with cb u can go two handed which can be quite useful

That is a matter of personal opinion. If you're pvming, just use what you like better. If you're pvp, then every edge you can get matters, and the ba trounces the cb in every category when it comes to using it 1h/shield.

I'd go with power over looks myself, but of course, I like the way the BA looks better anyways.

Just browse the last few pages of the forum, we've discussed this point repeatedly.

In general, the key points are that the berserker axe:

-Has more damage; comparing perfect versions of each, the BA will average around 500 more damage than the CB, which doubles on d/c strikes.

-Has lower requirements, meaning you can pump more points into vitality

-Has a lower base speed, making it hit the final conc/berserk break 22 ias faster than the cb (125%, compared to 147%)

-Is naturally 1h, meaning it's trade value is much greater

-Can be used in all the best runewords, including Doom, which swords cannot

-Can be used in the blood recipe

If you're going 1h/shield, there is no better weapon, it's a fact of life. If you're going to be alternating a lot, then yeah, the CB is nice, but I never go without a shield anyways, since it just adds so much to your character.

Well Im getting a 400/12 ebotd cb think that can get me a ebotd ba with about same stats?

Come to think of it... most people already do enough damage with 1H BA anywho... and going no shield leaves you open to attack even if you are caster killing. Best bet would be to get 4 sock monarch stacked with gems of the appropriate element because with todays -%res, you want all the res you can get.

Well look back in 09. Ith zerkers owned BvB. Ith Cb were for tweakers etc. (A tweaker is someone who can BvB, but can still kill other classes.) Personally, I favor Beserker Axe of CB any day, 1 because it has better 1 hand damage, 2 It looks sexy, 3 I am getting a 415/15 Beserker axe on Ladder.
