im a noobie. kinda i have a lvl 26 and im kinda good.
Despite the fact that I've constantly played Diablo 2 since its first beta in 3/2000, and I played D1 since 96 when it came out until d2 came out... I'm a noob :)
My current 1.10 Hardcore ladder line-up consists of 3 level 80+ characters, 4 level 75+ characters, 2 in their 60's and 4 under 40, mostly as mules... And yes, I'm definitely a noob. I've never gotten anything very high-end. I'm proud of My HotO since I found all the ingredients, but that's as elite as I get.
I'm a total n00b, got ripped of with my runes and items mutiple times and 3 lvl 80 chars 1 70 is the best so far
Hey, I am casting this poll to see actually how many NOObs are out there. If you are a NOOb post plz.
Well, most people would call me a noob. I have played D2 quite a bit, played LoD since 1.10 came out, have 4 characters capable of playing hell (none of them is past Diablo, though --- I have one or two options to try, but don't really believe I can do it), and I still don't have a lot of "high end" items (and certainly no good sets completed). Essentially 99.99999% of the stuff I have isn't ever mentioned on "tradelists".
Other than that, I'm somewhat proud of my guys: they have worked hard to get where they are now. I can clear hell-pit, I can do nm-baal and nm-diablo, so there is some chance of decent items. So, maybe I'm an advanved noob?
Bone-Necro Lvl 76 --- he'll be the one trying Hell-Diablo first, to see how the bonewalls hold against him. If I can contain him he's dead :-)
Maybe next weekend --- Diablo isn't just around the corner from the wp, unfortunately :-( Might even try to see if I can optimize him for diablo --- temporarily swapping items for more +skills and just fire resistance. I also have DOL and IO runes, but no suitable wand yet...
I guess I just don't have the patience for endless shopping.
Trap-Assa, Lvl 81 --- she's the second line. I doubt the shadowmaster can tank Diablo, but she can always try to hide in a corner while the traps nibble at his hitpoints Same as before --- I guess it will be a good idea to try to Diablo-optimize her gear first.
Javazon, Lvl 73 --- no way she can do it. She can poke nm-Diablo indefinitely with her titans, nibbling away his hitpoints in the process... but hell-Diablo... well, I suppose hell-Diablo is more of a challenge :-)
She has to get past hell-mephisto anyway --- she can't kill him, and there is no way she can survive the dolls; so that's another job for one of the necros (summoner or bone to get to durance-3, bone to kill mephisto).. Oh well... hell IS complicated :-(
Summoning Necro, Lvl 80 --- I doubt the skeletons will survive the first wave of fire or his breathweapon. My merc most likely will not. I might try, though --- if they live long enough to engage him, and if they do hit him, then maybe life-tap will keep them alive. Worked with nm-Diablo and nm-Baal, might at least try it with hell-Diablo :-) Can't do much in terms of Diablo-optimization, since he's already packed with +skills... so swapping other items for more fire resistance is probably the only option.
Christian
im a n00b. Only 1 character out of normal; he just beat nm baal a week ago.

What's the point of this thread? To see how many people you consider yourself to be better than? This thread is garbage. And it is degrading.

You know whats even funnier? There is no poll here. Unless he's going to gather the information and show us the results in a graph or chart, but he's not going to so he can count himself as a noob twice.

n00b = bad...new player that talks smack, knows jack and is a jackass
newb(ie) = good...new player, wants to learn, respects his lack of knowledge, and doesn't act dumb just because no one knows who he is

Nonsense. You have played legitimately and honorably. In my (and, no doubt, Blizzard's) eyes, that's as Elite as they come.
AFAICS no one who posted is a newbie, i would be the first actual post for a newbie because I just bought the game a week ago..but when it comes down to it, I think being a newbie is better because u have a lot more surprises to encounter, things to learn, places to see, and people to meet as opposed to playing the game for along time.....even tho newbies turn into elites. btu whatves thats my opinion :)
I'm not necessarily newb, just poor (and a little behind all the 1.10 stuff^^)
i'm newbie. 2 months old in forums, but few years in diablo.

The best time I've ever had playing the game is when I started my first character online. Man that was fun. Now I have to deal with tons of morons and jack@$$' and it takes away from the game.
(Note: I've met a lot of people that play that are really cool people and I've made a few real friends online. But people that wreck the game for others and think that they're top dog really p!ss me off)
I'm one off the poor people in the european trade forum.. and me is noob.. really i dont even know how to get to act4 =S

Buying the game recently doesn't signify that you're a newbie. I've been playing for about 2 years, and I've never bought the game. (borrowed from a friend)
It's amazing how many people in thread like to insult themselves by calling themselves "noobs".

Dude if she's b!tching now she'll b!tch more when you marry her. Get rid of her and find a girl that enjoys online gaming. My wife hates it when I spend hours playing and b!tches at me all the time. I have to compromise with my wife, you... well... you don't. Tell her that you're not married and to get off your back. Don't let women pull that, "you don't spend enought time with me crap." And if she starts crying, RUN!! Expecially if you've only been playing a month and she's on your back. I took my wife about 3 months.
Hehe yeah subby :) My gf used to go ape **** when I'd be on the computer for more than 30 minutes...so I dumped her, and now I'm in college for Computer Networking Systems and have an IT scrub job at my ISP (ie, I get the boss his coffee and do all the crap nobody else wants to do). All because playing games on the PC made me love it and learn it...otherwise I'd never have went to college at all ^_^

I admit. I'm a n00b. I'm prolly n00best of n00bs. I'v spent over 500 hours to get my ladder amazon to level 97 and then quit her after realizing that it will take at least another 500 to get her from 97 to 99. Only n00b would do such a thing. Plz shoot me i'm a no-life n00b.
