worthy of upgrading?

The sword is base +10 speed so using it with whirlwind is pretty much out of the question. It is also pointless for whirlwind because it is range 1. This sword though COULD be useful for a concentration barb because you can boost the IAS of your swing using things such as highlords/cat's eye, laying of hands, shael in weapon, IAS Jewels, etc. The cost of upgrading it and if it is worth it financially depends on how rich you are :)

You will have a hard time hitting good bp's with a barb, this is true. But a fana zeal pally will hit 5fpa at 30ias and 4fpa at 90ias. (sorry for mentioning pally's on the barb forum - please don't flame me :) ) That sword will hit about 278 max damage if you upgrade it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But like Omikron said, it really depends on how rich you are. Fal and Um runes sure are nice in runewords and aren't horribly common. If a slow, short ranged, 278 max damage pally sword is worth a Fal and an Um to you, then go for it. Personally, I think those runes would go better in a crescent moon or famine (if you can find the Jah/Ohm).

hydra edge is ridiculously slow, even for frenzy. i say keep the screenshot, sell the sword.

it's a neat little sword, I collect stuff like this on occasion (funky rares :lol: ). U on East by chance?
