Ok ive decided to make a blizz sorce. I was wondering what type of armor to use, Shiver armor or energy shield? or whichever 1 is better thx
I think shiver armor would be the best for you. Since you are probably going pure cold, with all synergies, you will not have enough skill points to put ES to a lvl that is useful. Well....are you pvp or pvm? If ur pvm, go with the shiver armor. Also, Ive never really found ES very useful with a non-melee sorc. Of course that's just me.

I'm currently finishing off my pure blizz MF sorc (Lvl. 88 now), so I can help you here.
Pure blizz is good for one thing, and one thing alone: Mephing. Countess, Eldritch, sometimes Pindle, Shenk, and all the minions in The Pit are cold immune. Even most of the minions on the way to Baal are. I know you didn't say that you were planning to be MF, but in order to be PVM (MF sorces are in a league of their own, because the only monster they consistently fight is Meph...still PVM, I suppose :-P ), you need a backup plan, and if your merc is your backup plan, you better be able to hook him up well, otherwise he'll just die.
So.
You said you were going to use full Tal's? Full Tal's, from what I've heard, is much better for meteorb. Since pure blizz is built for Meph, you need to do as much damage as possible in as few casts as possible. This means you need to max cold mastery and all synergies (with one point in static, telekinesis, teleport, warmth, and frost nova, I'll be finished at Lvl. 95), and have as many +'s from items as I can get. Plus, resists, which full Tal's provides generously, are not necessary, since I can tele past everything.
If I still haven't convinced you, then best of luck to you, and tell me how it goes. By the way, I'd go with shiver armor. Energy shield isn't good for people that teleport, and if you're pure blizz, I suspect you'll end up teleing Meph eventually, so don't put anything into it.

Cold Mastery - 8
Fire Ball - 20
Fire Mastery - 20
Frozen Orb - 20
Meteor - 20
Static Field - 1
Teleport - 1
Warmth - 1
All Prerequisites (9) - 1
There's your basic skill layout. Meteorb is just a fire sorc that has a backup attack to use against fire immunes. My sorc is pure blizz, so I can't give you a guide, but this link can.

Have fun with it.
