I'm currently trying to make an account with all the hight level class-specific sets. Anyway, I'm at Griswold's Legacy now, and was wondering, what's the best pally to use for this set?

Thanks,

I always wanted to make a v/t using that set. Lots of ber runes though =(

heh, atleast I got a reply  but, I'm looking for a cheaper build - this is on ladder, and I'm not any where near rich on it, I'm slowly aquiring the sets, and making the characters.

But yea anyay, I can't afford any high runes on these guys, as I'm making seven characters ;/

Zealot would probably be your best bet then. I wouldn't expect to win any PvP matches though.

I think most people ignore your post because there is a gris' set post at least once a week.

Okay, this isn't for pvp though, like I said before, I'm just trying to make an account with all the high level Class-Specific Sets. It's going to be shinny  (except that weird Natalya's set bonus)

go elemental zealot with either a shockadin or a frost zealot, stick some shaels in that ole caddy and you can reach uber speeds with either aura :p

Hm, i've seen a few threads in here about shockadin, I havn't made a melee pally in this patch, what's better, shock or frost (or is there fire right)?

i personally think shock + holy freeze merc is better [shock has more damage]

I tripled bered the shield, too bad it was .09 at the time. Now how can I save up to get 3 bers again? Sigh.

I would suggest a Zealot for full gris.
Its been awhile since I use the zealot that i haev wearing full gris but I think you get a 100 to all res just wearing the set. Add on the 30 res you get from the 3 quests and you already have 130 to all res with out even trying.

The caddy is fast enought that you only need 5 ias to hit the 4 fps bp with it. ( Very cool!) I would not soc a sheal in it personaly because 5 ias is pretty easy to get other places. In the 3 or 4 soc, put whatever dmg jewels or elemental jewels you haev to spare. Imo, the ideal soc for pvm would be 3 or 4 ber runes but those will cost you on ladder. Ideal soc for pvp would be a mixture of um and Lo runes, but those again will cost you a ton.

Since you said you dont want to use any high runes, I would suggest 2 pdiamonds in the shield. (additional 38 to all res) If you need the extra 19 res that a 3rd diamond would add go ahead and add it, but I would wait till you know what the rest of your gear is just soo you don't waist a soc on res when you don't need it. :uhhuh:

As far as the soc in the armor or helm go, add the best jewels and runes and gems that you got to fill in any of the gaps in your gear.

Just have fun and remember, as long as you dont put anyhting exspencive into the soc you can always un soc it and try again.

Good Luck!

I have access to my friend's account who has a Gris Zealot. He does around 3000-3000+ damage and has max resists with enough leech to solo almost anything.

Max Zeal
Max Sacrifice
Max Fanatacism
Put some points into Holy Shield and the rest is up to you

I always thought of a smiter? The shield is an elite and has quite good smite dmg and the caddy reaches awsome speeds.

but sure, go with your zealot, its... "fun" :grrr:

just kidding :), I agree, zealot is a good idea and as somebody already mentioned, since the caddy has great ias a frost/shockzealot would be nice. Good luck to you

I have a Defiant/Vindicator using the Griz set, it seemed to be the most logical build to me, had to use a crap load of IAS/ED jewel and shaels to make it viable though
