Wouldn't it be more viable to get blessed aim instead of Might? sure Might adds to the damage, but with the low AR they miss 2/3 of the time. I think they could do more damage with blessed aim. I'm probably wrong though.

I believe in the old Barb saying "Damage is King". It don't seem like Skeletons miss often as it is anyway for me. A few patches back(1.04-1.05)...seemed like every OverLord was using a Prayer merc instead of Might.
But,when your starting out as a Summoner...I'm sure that blessed aim could be more useful...but I always liked Prayer over it though.

I feel a test coming up. It would be interesting to actually test this. What gives a better result. More damage or less damage applied more frequently?
Mantis, isn't there a way to get a skeletons' AR and just do the math? They also have the same level as the caster, correct? Just fill in the blanks.
In my experience with using a Blessed Aim merc with regular characters, in the later levels of the game, it's only made a 5% difference in my AR... the level was the more important statistic.

Not a bad idea. We can assume that both "types" of Skellies will have the same time between swings. I'll calculate it.
It could very well be that there is a Merc level when Blessed Aim > Might.

that'd be nice, but we have to remember that more damage in one hit = higher frequency that your skellies will stun the monster. This is an invaluable tool for both keeping your skeletons alive and dealing more damage.
But a test is in order, sheesh, lvling those mercs from norm is a *****, and the hell mercs suck for the most part.

Long ago this was tested (1.10s) and might won because blessed aim does not actually help as much as you might think...the testers may not have applied the damage from might correctly though.
