Even if you max out Bone Armor + Synergies, wouldnt' it be too weak for hell?

Also consider that you use decreptify so your Bone armor's life doubles. Or Weaken. But is it really worth your precious skill points? A barbarian's BO really owns bone armor, which only gives like 10 life per level.

most people use only 1 point in bonearmor and use synergies to get higher absorb.

There is 2 ways to do this.

When u play legit boner u could max bone wall and bone prison for higher dmg on bone spells and also get a nice +15 bonewall ansorb pr lvl.

Another fameous way used on alot of necro builds is the marrowalk bug, dont put anything in prison, use marrowalk boots and recieve lvl 33 synergy prison witch gives the +1 bonewall some nice absorb.

No, it is not to weak. You will need it if you go Melee.

But what you must keep in mind is that the Necro is no damned Barb. He is a Necro and as such has a totally different play style.
We have a lot of crowd control. We are masters of crowd control. If you let your self get attacked by more than three monsters at a time you are doing something wrong. So if you consider the great crowd control capabilities the BA will be enough.

I think I know why your confused kill666er. Bone armor doesn't directly increase your hit points. Its an armor that absorbs all physical damage up to a certain point. So when it says it has say.. 500 absorb. It can take 500 damage before it disapears. When it disapears you can just recast. This is very worth the skill points if you feel your going to be going up against even a few physical damage dealers.

Most necros that have a maxed out bone armor are bone necros, and most of them have max block. Bone armor is there as recastable life for anything that gets through their crowd control and blocking.

to tell you the truth its always nice to have at least 1-3 points in BA nomatter what build because with most builds you have + gear. I like it because every once in a while something might break through your likes like those little fast running bone knife guys and it really helpful..

I have 1 point into BA for every one of my builds. I use marrowalks though :p
