Question about LLD

What are considered to be the best jewels for the level 9 duelers? I managed to find a +10 max and a +9 max jewel over the weekend while building a new character. They both have level 9 or lower requirements. Are these the type of jewels that a LLD character would be interest or do they usually look for those with second mods or high + max? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The most you can get at lvl 9 req is 14 max.

High max is generally preferred over high ed though, as ed doesn't add much at lvl 9.

You could technically get a rare 14 max/20ed jewel + other mods which would be considered "godly", but chances are slim of that happening.

9 maxers are pretty common, anything higher requires more than just the "of wrath" suffix, which makes 10-14 max jewels rarer than 9 maxers.

Both jewels are very good for a level 9 pk or dueler. Like Knarl said, people prefer +max over ED because the damage added is much higher with max than it is with ed at that level. When most people build level 9's, they dont bother with getting many (or any) jewels with more than 9 max, its just a pain to do, they must have have the "carbuncle" and "wrath" mods on them, and thats really rare, so yes, they are very good.

most llds 14+ are so used to building up max dmg with charms as well that it just translates into the 9 builds i guess

also
+9s are also quite easy to find compared to +5 mins.. and +4mins are not better then +9 max,, u need to break the 50% barrier.. above +4 min is tough to find

also HC duelers use rejuvs,, so in order to kill u need that upsetting sinlge astronomical Max kill hit,, not a bunch of good low hits.
