The Corpse Exploder.

I wanted to try somthing new. along with the fact i like watching stuff blow up ;)

1point revive

1point summon resist

1point in amplify damage.

max Corpse Explosion

Max Golem Mastery

Max Fire Golem

Max Iron Golem

All extra points would go in other golems for bonusses.

The point of golems is to kill few monsters so i can start the chain reaction of explosions.

This is one idea of the build.

Please post which one you think would be more effective and/or if you think this idea will work. Ty

Not new, but great fun! The skeleton option, anyway. Golems can't kill well in 1.10.

I don't forsee you getting flamed...at least I won't.

As for your builds...your first one would be something different from your typical cookie cutter builds like the Venomancer/Skelly Summoner or the Lagamancer. So i would give it a try first.

The skele option is basically 95% similar to Nightfish's Fishymancer, I've already got 2 of those built. Nothing much new.

The golem option is something a bit different though.

I made a similar necro a while back. I even had a good thread talking of it's intricacies. Here's what I said about it in my Handbook.

3. Hybrid mojo[mancer] who uses a golem, Iron maiden, attract and corpse explosive. (My own little invention)

Same idea kinda. It was fun to play but not at all practical.:)

Good luck getting that golem to kill anything even with completely maxed synergies. You would be better off using very few pts into the golem and just using it as a distraction. Instead, nurse a merc and let that get the first kill. With the correct gear, a decent merc should be able to get at least one body pretty quickly. Your killing process will probably go something like this:

1) Attract/Dim Vision to get the crowd under control for a bit. Feel free to use Bone Wall/Prison to section off parts of the crowd to deal with in more manageable portions.
2) Once you have the desired crowd under control, your merc and golem should already be engaging them. Chances are you will be using an Act2 Might or HF merc (depending on the rest of your build, more on this later) or possibly an Act5 Barb merc, thus throw around a bit of Amp in the vicinity of your merc. If your merc seems to be having trouble use Decrep to slow the crowd down a bit or use Lifetap to give your merc a ton of life back quickly.
3) Sooner or later you should get a corpse or two, if your merc is in good condition Amp everything and let CE rip.

You could use Fire Golem as your main golem, not so much to create bodies, but use his aura to gather monsters into a cluster before letting rip with CE.

I'd often thought that some sort of FG/CE necro would make for a really nice pyromancer themed build, but wasn't sure if it would be viable. If anybody tries / has tried this, I'd be really interested to know how you get on.
