I'm doing under 2k like this and something seems wrong.

Pick up some trang gloves and a blackbog dagger. That will help you out quite a bit. You can also gather some gold and shop for a +skills +pn wand.

Ok then, how much poison nova damage is needed to do 8-player pits run effectively?

atm my poison necro has 3 piece trang (gloves, belt, shield), a 2/2/49 dweb with a 5/5 die psn facet. I decided not to go down the bramble route so he uses an enigma bp. Does displayed 7.2k dmg with my shako, 6.6k with my kira's. Technically, he does both those listed numbers x4 over 4 seconds (because I have -79 resist in gear and lower resist, so I hit the -100% limit easily) but, since none of the other necro vets want to be a pal and confirm the fact that -resists multiplies time and dmg (which is easily seen that it lasts for more than 2 seconds when -resists is involved) I cannot technically "claim" that he does 26.4k or 28.8k dmg over 4 seconds although that is the "accepted theory".
