[US West] JOIN MY CLAN!!!

Hi, I'm new to the site so tell me anything that I do wrong and I wont mind. I play Diablo 2 Regularly and have a clan called NTF or (Notorious Troops Force). I have about 10 people already in the clan and we have a lot of fun helping eachother out etc. If you chose to join the clan you will receive many things including: many free items, a list of friends to help you when you are stuck, and other help if need be so. If you want to join all you have to do is put NTF in front of your name (ie. NTF-RULZ). Please tell me what you think.

I'm confused. You post here saying that you have a new clan and that if we join you will give us free items. But on the "Community" forum you post asking people to give you stuff.

A lot of people offered you stuff, granted low level items, but the offeres were there. So if you are asking for hand outs, how can you give stuff away?

Are you begging on one forum so you have stuff to give away on this one? Maybe that's not the way it is, but it just doesn't look right.

I couldn't sit back and not comment on both of his posts. It's ok to start up a clan/guild or just recruit for one. I just thought it was wierd that he would take the approach that if you join my clan (where I'm the boss of course) I'll give you free stuff. It looked too much begging or a bribe. Hell, what would prevent people from joining and taking the free stuff and telling him and his clan to ... stuff it?

I just didn't think it was well thought out and I thought it was in bad taste to beg on one forum and give away on another.

The other thoguht that came to mind was if "you" joined his clan, would he want "you" to give the next guy who joined some of "your" stuff?

I run a guild and I've posted on the player match up forums a few times, but we never promise new members that we will give them anything except a safe gaming environment. Stuff like this has a way of giving other guilds a bad name or rep.
