KTA 4.0 We need to sort some stuff out

Hi All,

Last nights adventuring ... that never really happened.

2 members arrived at 7.00, but after waiting for while for the others arrived, they gave up and left. At 8.30 the other 5 members were in channel wondering where the remaining 2 were. Chiller-Babe as we all know is a late starter, and maybe no show due to her honeymoon.

Well the 5 of us, thought we'd continue our journey in Hell starting with the rescue of Cain. Taking it pretty slow, we suceeded to do just that and a releaved Cain thanked us back at the Rogue Camp and Akara as usual gave me at least a crap ring as a reward. 2 of us them went back to Dark Woods to try and find the WP, when our Barb suddenly decided to call it a night.

The rest of us decided not to continue with just 4 of us and no BO Barb.

This is not good. We really do need to sort out team 4.0. Firstly who of the 7-8 current member wishes to continue through Hell and seek Guardian status ? If you've lost interest just say so ... it certainly won't be held against you.

For those who are interested in continueing, can you please restate the times they are able to play on Monday and Wednesday.

We also need to select a leader who the rest of the team can follow, in order to stay as a tightly co-ordinated group. Normally it would be our biggest tank, and this would be a our Barb. Problem is our Barb leaps all over the show, which means the rest of us are unable to follow him. With his particular build, he needs to be able to leap in action, whereever that may be. I am not sure if our Pallys are able to tank in Hell, which leads me to suggest that maybe our Wind Druid should be the leading character we follow ?

What do others think ?

Lets get this sorted out so come Monday, we all arrive on time, ready to kick some monster-butt and complete Act 1 Hell.

Thanks for bringing this up, in fact I was (with Baroni and greenfire) one of the people in channel at 19:30. Because THOSE are our playing times, repeated all over the place again and again. Funnily, we adjusted them to suit Vectom and Dave, two players who deserted us in normal:

Mondays: Start at 20:30
Wednesday: Start at 19:30 and maybe do some catching up until kevman arrives, who is excused until 20:30 (like Chiller)

Now..I don't mind starting at 20:30 all time..but we should be able to play 2 hours. No use bailing out after 60 minutes.

The reason I was so annoyed that I did not even stay was, that I could have met with friends, who asked me to come to their place and enjoy an evening with them. I cancelled that due to KTA. At pretty much 20:25, while sitting alternatingly at my PC staring at an empty channel (or a channel where random ppl would show up (green, Syxx, Baron and Survi) and leave, I just lost interest for the night. I had missed my opportunity to hitch a ride to my friends house and my mood was to bad to meet any of you guys.

We had some trouble keeping the team together in normal, it worked fine in NM and now we seem to be falling apart in hell. Not even Simpan, who showed up all the time when the party was full and got offered Chillers spot for the two weeks of her honeymoon showed up..or did he?
Hell is were we all need to be together (in several ways). Maybe I should not be pointing the finger, as I was one who left. Maybe the fact that 5 people were there at 20:30 shows that I am the one who got everything wrong.

If that is so I happily stand corrected. Lets get our stuff sorted out and be there on Monday. Everybody..and play 2 hours.

No deserting the team anymore :clap:

Morning guys.

Las t night was a weird one eh! I turned up at 19:30 to be greeted by just 2 of our members. I waited around for 15 minutes and when no-one else turned up I figured everyone else must hvae got their times mixed up and would probably show up at around 20:30.

Unfortunately I had a Poker tournament to attend at 21:00 so when everyone finally did show up, there was virtually no time left for me to play.

I am cool with changing the times to whatever the group decides. I think it would make sense if we had the same start time on Mon and Weds, that way ther would be no more confusion. :lol:

I talked some more with sol after the game to discuss the troubles we'r having atm.
I think 1 starting time is a good idea. How about 8.00 Mon and Wed?
This will leaves us with the same playing time as atm. If some1 scedule doesnt fit there we can always change ofc. I have full faith we will fix this problem bc it went well 4 the previous times 2, no reason to give up such a wonderfull event :)

sorry to be a snoop, but i like reading about the various untwinked adventures, and figured i might be of help here in one aspect-

from my experience playing palis, in a good party they can be the best tank (better than barb/druid). With max block easily attainable even in untwinked parties, large defense (thanks to the new all def from holy shield) and probably max resists without as much trouble as the rest of the team, the pali's only problem with tanking is low life. But with BO and oak, that's not really a problem anymore. So really I think the pali is the easiest char to have as a tank thanks to naturally high defensive stuff... block, def, and resists.

take it for what you will... when scd gets into hell, i plan on tanking with my pali :D

Normally I would agree with everything you have said here. But that would be if I were playing a conventional melee (or hammerdin) paladin character. My build though is a FoH caster, backed up by max conviction. To be able to cast my FoH I need to pretty much remain in the background of group. Having chosen this route, I have also allowed my dex to remain fairly low, and have not put more than 5 points into Holy Shield thus meaning my block isn't more than 50% at best and my def is nowhere near enough to be able to tank hell mobs.

Its not as bad as that Det, I'm sure the other wills clock in soon.

I too am happy with a start time of 8.00 (20.00 CET) on Monday and Wednesday.

Speaking for myself, i have to say that KTA is'nt what it used to be, this is no reflection on current KTA-players, its just the way it is. For instance, KTA used to start at 19.00, now its 20.30 and then at 21.something other ppl join so we go back to NM baal and do andy hell also over again.

For me its starting to late, however, i started so i'll finish. About the next KTA: i think i'll skip the next one, as for Diablo the game, im gonna make a baalsolorunner after wich i'll probably stop playing. Maybe ill get into pvp a little deeper but it seems to me that the game is loosing its appeal fast.
