I'm making a fireclaws druid and he is at lvl 35 right now. The problem is that I'm having one heck of a time levling him. I can't do baal runs becuase his attack is WAY to slow without the 110 ias weap. I do over 1k damage with fireclaws, but it just takes me forever to hit something. Any suggestions as to where I should level? Thanks for you imput.

Pindle?
I always level in pindle before taking on the ancients and baal.

For low levels using FC attack is not a good idea at all. You better use fissure instead, it worked great for me. And reading the coldarmy´s would help you a lot, there are some tips to level the FC bear up.

Use the fire skills to level at low levels, like Firestorm or Fissure until your fireclaws damage is high enough and you can equip. your gear.

no ones knows?
in all the thread i have read about FC druids, it says something like: use fissure, that is a good spell....
But why not volcano? it also gives normal dmg, which is good to make the FC build more flexible, right? so why not use it?

Steel (Tir-El) in a scimitar has a decent speed for fireclaws. I use it a lot on my wereforms in early leveling.

Volcano effects a very small area for massive damage but the boulders it spews out don't hit as frequently as you would want them to hit. It's very good against stationary foes, but Fissure will spark better for packs covering a wider area. A lot of fireclaws druids don't use volcano as synergy but take only firestorm, molten boulder and fissure (or just firestorm if they're going to use stone). It saves 1 skillpoint I guess, but it can make a difference for some people. Moreover, volcano isn't maxed very easily early on during leveling and fissure can be.

From personal experience leveling werebears I usually use a ribcracker once I get to level 31. That seemed to be the slowest leveling, getting to that point. Once I hit 31, I joined baal runs. At level 41 I switch to a Buriza...the 80% IAS and ED is awesome! I am currently at level 45 and fly through nm games with no problem. I do an easy 4K damage with my FC bear. I'm not sure about the breakpoints for FC, but the attack speed is plenty fast enough to dispose of any enemy until your 110 IAS phase blade. Plus the freezes target on the Buriza is cool because you can shatter almost anything in one hit. But definitely hit baal runs at 31+ and finish normal at 42ish with your buriza, then go through nm with ease.

uh, yeh, join baal runs and leech exp. if you're trying to lvl a merc or something, get a sigon set, join 8 player games and kill stuff about 3-5 lvls above your merc. baal runs start paying off exp at lvl 25, so you should be lvling fairly easy at 35 even if you're not actually killing anything.make sure your standing fairly close to the critters that are getting killed though, if you're standing way back by the door, you won't get much exp at all.
