Ok, I am making a fury/rabies wolf (i feel that the rabies poison dmg will help me with physical immunes). The question that i have is what merc should i use. Should i get a act 3 merc for elemental dmg incase immune to physical and poison or should i go for a might merc from act 2. Thanks for the help.

unfortunately, in later stages of the game, act3 mercs are pathetic.
i suggest a holy freeze or might merc. holy freeze in terms of crowd control, but somewhat contradictory because you would want rabies to spread around the group fast. anyways yeah.. might merc. :)
my point of this post is suggesting to use certain weapons to help vs those physical immuners.
1. know that amplify damage and decrepify removes physical immunity. so find a weapon for your merc that has it. the unique thresher (reapers toll has chance to cast decrept). atma's scarab has chance to cast amplify damage.
2. have a bstar/tiamats rebuke on switch for massive elemental damage.
3. buriza on switch, nice cold damage and freeze target mod.
thats all i can think of for now.

Or defiance, it's sexy :). Keeps me alive in HC

Ok, ill keep your suggestions in mind. Also do you think that rabies is a good skill, i have a carrion wind ring and put no points in poison creeper so the glitch will work. will it be effective or should i do something else to help out.

yeah fury/rabies is fully viable.
IMO holy freeze will keep you alive more than a defiance merc would. not all monsters are physical attackers, its best to control a crowd with holy freeze.
