Best Merc

Can someone tell me the best merc for a wind druid? I am a sorc with an act 2 defensive merc and my husband is a wind druid. Which merc would be the best choice for him. We always play together alone so really need to know the best. Thanks

Well for most casters I'd suggest a holy freeze merc to slow down the mobs. However, since he is running hurricane all the time I'd have to suggest either a defiance merc (act 2 defensive norm and hell) or an act 5 barb to just sit and tank. Hope this helps :).

even if hurricane slows down mobs, it has its range and when monsters are out of it, they are no longer frozen (or maybe slowed for like a half second). besides, there are many cold immuners which would not be slowed down due to hurricane.

now holy freeze slows down monsters at a greater radius than hurricane and slows down even cold immuners and very nice for crowd control (thus can tank decently too). defiance would help, but not too much IMO. holy freeze is a life saver. if you're on ladder, give him a reapers toll (ethereal preferably) for that extra edge. :O

Boy howdy I just got my *** handed to me by kaz :lol: . I didn't really think about it like that so I'd just follow kaz's advice Babyeyes, he knows what he's talking about :).

Yeah, and it'd be pointless to have a defiance merc if the sorc already has one ^^
