Help me with a Bowazon

Im considering going full mavinas, maxing guided arrow,strafe or multi, and then a few points in valk and pierce, I loved my 1.09 zon but i rarely ever see a bowazon in hell. Why is this, I heard something about pierce and guided arrow not working??? whats the point of pierce then? anyway I need ur reccomendation on gear and is fulll mavina or bowazon viable for hell soloing, if so what are the most useful spells?

if u must go full mav's, then FA is about the only way to go, the bow does too little damage, with no nice mods (such as the WWS) to compensate for this, so strafe/MS is not going to be very effective.

FA alone won't work as you will need to have something to hurt the CI's with (and to help leech back mana), so strafe/ms may be needed anyways.

as for GA/Peirce i think this was more for pvp as you could do insane damage with the way GA and peirce worked together (not sure tho, never played 1.09 - and i don't pvp)

Some people say that bowazons are "not viable" in Hell now. Those are usually the noobie Burizons of yore (1.09) that don't know anything about bowazons.

Yes, Guided Arrows don't Pierce anymore.

FA+Pierce, LF+Pierce, Strafe+Pierce etc, they all work magnificently. I use 100% Pierce (Razortail) on all my amazons.

If you actually have a full M'avinas, you should have no trouble in hell (well, you can still die..but thats a problem everybody faces). And FA is indeed the build to go with this.

With a lv 17+ Valkyrie, lots of Pierce (BTW..fantastic with a Kuko and Immo) you are a force to be reckoned with. Put a Reapers Toll on the Act 2 merc and PI's are no longer a Problem...just keep the guy alive.

As an alternative, a plain old WWS and its lv 20 MA with Amp also works wonders.

My Immozon (with FA as secondary skill) made it up to act 5 hell, she just cannot kill on her own in a 8 ppl game. But she soloed act 1 and 2 and played with several parties up to act 5. I trust my new Strafer can do the same

If you plan to do any pvp, then i strongly recommend a different character, the PvP rooms are now plagued by Necros, Sorcs, Trapasins, high lvl barbs with Enigma and BoTd,Hammerdins, FoHadins. The truth is even the best bowazons now lose 9 out of 10 duels (speaking from expierence, with a lvl 90 bowazon wearing wf,valor,waterwalk,vampgaze etc), also the fact that Guided arrow no longer pierces rules out that option. If you do decide to make a PvP bowazon all the power to you and good luck, but right now PvP is a caster's domain...If you do plan to make a pvp bowazon load up on cold facets and any other gear that adds negative cold resitance and percentages to cold damage, your only hope is to freeze your openent and then open up on them with something like MS... my friend and I were talking yesterday, and came up with magic arrow.This might be an option based on the effectiveness of the new hammerdin builds (pure magic damage can not be resisted), but this idea has never been tested to my knowledge...
