Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new to the forums and BNet but I have played Diablo for quite some time single player. My first ladder character is a Javazon. Right now she is a level 55. I was wondering if you had any suggestions to improve my build so far?

My Stats (w/ + equip/charms):
Str = 125
Dex = 200
Vit = 125
Energy = base

My Skills (w/ + equip):
Charged Strike = 17
Lightning Fury = 19
Plague Jav = 10
Passives = 5 (i only put one point into each of these except Pierce which has a total of 8)
None in bow and xbow

My equipment:
Titan's (170% ED, 9%LL)
Stealskull (44% MF) (I would like to get a Gaze but can't seem to afford one)
Goldskin (I would really like to get better, what would you suggest?)
Moser's Blessed Circle (Should I get something better here?)
Infernostrides (Same deal with the Stealskull...I would like to get Silkweaves or War Travs, what would you suggest?)
Mav's Gloves (I have Laying of Hands but I need to level up some before I can use)
Ravenfrost (+17)
Nagelring (29% MF)
Rare Ammy with +1 to Zon Skills

Let me know what you think. If there happens to be a generous soul out there willing to trade me a Gaze, or the boots I mentioned, or some better armor then let me know. I don't have anything godly but I do have Sandstorms, the Nagel I mentioned above, Stealskull, Souldrainers, Trang's armor, Demon Arch, Stoneraven, runes (Io and lower), and I will trade most of the stuff I already have equipped for the right price.

You may call me a god,
but truth is.... I'm not :surprise:

/joking mode off

Imo, a not too expensive yet very effective build would be
20 lf
high enough pierce to get 67% or better
critical strike 50% or better
nice lvl valk, and you're basically set, skill-wise.
Valk & your merc should take care of lightning immunes, everything else: Fury
If you have some points in Jab, jab away at the lightning immunes too.

Stats:
enough str to wear your equipment. 125 is enough, I think, unless you're aiming for a special item (one particular shield comes to mind).
dex should be enough to get 75% block.
vitality : everything else

Killing gear:
stealskull (ias, dual leech)
titan's (obviously)
nice %res all skin o/t viper magi (res all, +1 skills, great -especially when upgraded). Naj's light plate might be good too, though it's heavier, and will slow you down some.
silkweave (for the +5mana/kill) or waterwalks (huge life)
laying of hands (ias, dmg to demons)
crescent moon amulet (huge manaleech, life leech)
I like the moser's. 2pd and you're pretty much set, resistance-wise. Some would rather go for stormshield, but you're just starting on ladder, so it might be a bit out of your league. And javazons shouldn't get hit too much anyway :uhhuh:
raven frost (Cannot be frozen)
razortail (or thundergod's vigor for burned/black souls, but you might want to max pierce then for more killing speed)

Other gear that's worth mentioning here is the Valkyrie Wing with +2 amazon skills. Very nice item.

As for mf equipment, the most gear a 1.09 javazon wore, is still very good:
mf-java:
harlequin crest (or stealskull is good here too)
crescent moon ammy (manaleech is set then)
titan's (life leech is set with titan's & crescent moon)
If you're using stealskull, you might have enough manaleech, so you could then swap out the crescent moon. For a highlord's for instance.
war travelers
skullder's
chance guards
nagelring
raven frost (cannot be frozen)
razortail belt (additional 33% pierce)
res all charms, especially when running Baal.

That's my 2 cents.

Here is the 1.10 cookie cutter Java build:

max Lf
max Char Str
max poi jav
max plague

The rest of the points to taste but pierce gets some as well depending on gear. It's a late developing build but works. Your vita seems low and dex seems high also. Meet your equipment req's and the rest should go to vita unless you want 75% block in which case 200 dex still seems high. Again melee is not your strong suit as you are supposed to be a ranger type that jumps in to clean up near the end. If you choose to melee, vamp would be better as would other phys gear ie) gorerider, wartravs. Also you have not allocated points in the phys jav side of the tree so melee again might not be the best. If you can get your hands on the disciple set, that would eliminate the need to decide on what boots, gloves blah blah to get lol. Sometimes it takes longer to decide what gear to use than it takes to get to baal in norm lol.

Don't get caught up in ideal equipment as the only really nice thing Javas need is Titans which you have anyway :) Good luck

I dont agree with the poison skills you have included in a "cookie cutter" build for javazon. The obvious choices for skill placement are maxing LF and CS and their synergies. Mercs or physical dmg can deal with light immunes. In the off chance of phys immune and light immune, well... killing that one monster isnt going to make are break a char. I would recommend building a pure light java zon over using poison. The benefits of having maxed all the synergies for LF and CS (since they are all the same) far outweigh the possibility of running into a phys/light immune.

My lvl 90 pure light jav zon is doing very well in east hc ladder play.

Sure pure lightning works too :) To each his own. Try both and see which you prefer :) Good luck!

Agreed. If you put more than one point to it, you are wasting valuable skill points. Critical strike doesnt effect the light dmg of your LF. Its not a needed skill. Even using CS as a boss killer, you dont need it. 9 bolts of light hitting baal, and doing 5.6k dmg each works wonders.

Here I am then :howdy:

Ok, just kidding there. Seriously though, wearing valk wing, titan's, viper magi, some +skills ammy, you'd be surprised how easy it is to get over 50% while spending just the 1 point.
To each his own, ofcourse, but I like having the critical strike to leech more mana back with a low(ish)% ml setup.

Getting her a decent bow as a back up would not be a bad idea either.

I also prefer to play with a bow on my switch, its more fun i think to play with both trees. I like to play jab/cs / lf and then freezer / multi. I think both multi / freezer work well with minimal skill investment. If I could get myself to level up again, I would get 1 pt guided because its helpful at times and play guided/freezer/multi.

If you are in the above posters boat, then go with bow skills as well. Like he or she said, playing with both trees is alot of fun. I however like having the most effective build of what I use.

For LF that is maxing LF and all its synergies. PERIOD. Anyone that doesnt do this for a PURE LF zon, is no where near as effective as a zon with the proper gear + skill placement. Sure you can max something else out, or spread your pts around, but like above, you'll be less effective, and take longer to lvl.

I'm sure my hybrid zon is as effective if not more than pure light, and more entertaining, I play softcore tho. I've run countless folks thru hell dificulty. I do more then enough light damage.

I really dont see how all light could ever be as effective, in team play perhaps but not solo/rush/full game playability. I also have 250 -ish mf while I'm running thru the game which is very respectable for amazon hybrid. Pure light give higher damage from one elemental attack. Its one sided, but extremely strong. I dunno i like having a bow also, if you leveling your friend say in nm its fun to run thru whole game in multi shot if u like or i use ethereal titans so switching to bow gives them a replenish opportunity. I just think using all the toys available to the amazon is my favorite way to play.
