There's nothing cheaper than Lionheart(Hel+Lum+Fal) that is that usefull to a fury wolf.

I suggest that you get any hell light armor that has decent defence. This means using Archon plate, Great hauberk, Wire fleece, Scarab husk, Wyrm hide or Dusk shroud. If you want defence for resale value(wolves can't get good defence), try to get something with 480+ or something defence.

Don't rule the shaft out yet. Even though I don't use it on a wolf (it's on shock/maul bear) I find that it is an incredible armor for as cheap as it is now. Plus if you are on ladder you can upgrade it for really decent defense. However, defense isn't quite as important for wolves since they have no def % enhancers. Now that being said lionheart is one hell of a good armor. The only down side of it is that it has just the base def of the armor it's made from and this is the reason a lot of people don't like it. But, like already mentioned, since you are the speedy werewolf the defense means little so you can feel proud to wear that shiny lionheart :).

P.S. Make it out of the best elite armor you can find that isn't the class "heavy." I find that medium armors work fine, especially since you probably use feral rage.

My WW Fury Druid (EuroBoom, lvl 87, USWest) finished Hell wearing Duriel's Shell. Assuming that you're using maxed Oak Sage, and you've put all your skill points into Str & Vit, you don't need massive defense on your armor. But you do need resists, and Duriel's "Cannot Be Frozen" is a lifesaver.

Funny story about my Duriel's Shell - a friend had one, and I wanted it, but she wanted my IK Maul in trade. Well, I told her she could stick it ;) Then the very next day I found my own Duriel's in the Hell Maggot Lair.

I must say that I agree with duriels shell. If it's Ladder, upgrade it. My Duriels shell is almost breaking 1400 def and gives great mods. Add in an UM rune, and it surpasses Lionheart in my books.

And this is on a druid that is using BotD Eth GP, Duriels is the best if you can't afford Chains of Honor.

Though, Lionheart would be the best 2nd choice as well.

Act 1 The Pit under Tamoe Highlands. Watch out though, the monsters are 85-88 lvl so they hurt. A lot. And then some more. Espesially the archers with their damn cold arrows and freezing arrows. :grrr:

Nope. I'm assuming, of course, that you have a standard WW Druid build that includes maxed Oak Sage. With maxed Oak Sage, maxed Werewolf and maxed Lycanthropy (and some +skills to bring them up further), my lvl 87 WW has 3229 life. Add in a nearly maxed Carrion Vine, which eats corpses almost as fast as I can kill them (and this guy kills ridiculously fast) to give me life, and about the only thing that can touch me is Oblivion Knights hitting me with Iron Maiden to make me kill myself.

Seriously - I soloed the Diablo Clone, and used a total of 5 full rejuvs - and 3 of those were for my merc.

If you can reach max resist with Shaft and use Raven Frost I see absolutely no reason to exchange it for duriels or Lionheart.

duriel's is the cheapest of the three, and works amazingly well. This is one of my very favorite armors for druids and many other classes.

oh yea, and on the upgrading thing... my merc's wearing an upped duriel's. 1505 defense  that's not ethereal either.

but you wouldn't upgrade an ETH armour anyways :D
