man I feel stupid...something I didnt know about just happened or its a glitch. I took my etheriel zoded hoz and upgraded it from guilded to zakarum and it went from 723 defense to 438 defense...anyone know why?

As far as I know, ethereal items do not keep the 50% defense bonus when they are upgraded.

Does anyone know if that problem does the same thing to upped eth weapons? That would really annoy me.

I am not sure if this is also true with weapons, but if you give me a day , ill test that theory. I found an etheral rare club with serious damage mods and repairs durability, and I plan on upgrading to a tyrant to see what kinda damage it will do. Once I do so, ill post the result.

Upgrading eth weapons work fine I think (from what I read, not from personal experience), but there's a bug when upgrading eth armors/helms/shields, they don't retain the +50% def for being ethereal

You'd think it wouldn't be too difficult to fix, but you know Blizzard :rolleyes:

I've seen plenty crystal swords/dimensional blades that were upgraded to phase and kept ethereal bonus, so I'm inclined to believe that weapons work fine

haha well that sucks :( guess theres a new formula then! eth hoz + zod + lem + ko + pdiamond = normal upgraded hoz...haha go me
