Ideal lcombat gear would look something like this:

helmet: 20/15 Griffon (5/5 lightning facet)
armor: Chains of Honor
weap1: (ethereal) 200/9 upgraded Titans
shield1: Sanctuary Hyperion / Stormshield / Jeweler's Monarch of Deflecting with 4* 5/5 facets
weap2: perfect 200/4 Thunderstroke (for Charged Striking)
shield2: see shield1
gloves: magical 20%ias, +3 javelin skills gloves
belt: Razortail / Thundergod's Vigor
boots: War Travellers / Gore Riders / Waterwalks
amulet: +2 ama + mana leech amulet / Mara's
ring1: Ravenfrost
ring2: good rare / BK / SoJ / Wisp etc.
Inventory: 10 java skillers with life and perfect Annihilus

ROFL, this will b efun getting those, i have a razor tail and a 191 titans, so im almost there! haha NOT :grrr: . :) yo uhappen to have any of that gear? i got marrow, homunculus, lem and other shizzle for trade!

Don't get an ethereal titans (can't repair for speedy replenish), you should be using your thunderstroke for close-combat anyhow.

That was just the ideal gear that my zon dreams of having. You can get by with much less expensive gear. I suggest you read Jek's excellent lightning javazon guide right here. (http://forums.rpgforums.net/showthread.php?t=127612) You can find much moredetailed analysis of gear options there.

I noticed you mentioned Pindle in the thread title... If you'r suggesting MFin' pindle here's the gear i use.
Helm=Shako
Ammy=+32 MF with +5resist all
Weapon=Titans
Armor=Skulders
Gloves=perfect chancies
Rings = 28 and 30 Nagel
Belt=T-gods/ Goldwrap could work too, but with LF as main attack it ensures that pindle dies faster for efficiency.
Shield = Rhyme rune word

That's topping out at much over 350% MF and i still kill with amazing speed... Get some Skill charms and you can deck yourself out with Straight MF gear.

aite koo, well im still looking for a storm shield, and a eth titans. I have a 196% hoz 181 %hoz and ist/lem rune btw, whats the recipe to upgd titans?

I agree here. I dont use tstrokes on my zon.. but, I would prob use em against pindle. 1 or 2 tosses at the most and he's dead.

Most of the time, a good rare or magic item drops that normally sell for 35k. So the repair cost for tstrokes shouldnt be an issue.

Like I posted above, I'd only use tstrokes vs. small group, i.e pindle. 1 or 2 javs, and its over.. collect items, sell, repeat...

not like pindles pack doesnt die in 1 lf hit with plain javs....

but all around play, tstroke is a must in secondary, for boss killing. my usual weap/shield are titans/ss main and tstroke/sanc secondary (sanc because the bosses you want to kill deal mostly elemental damage).
