what should I do with Gaze?

I have started a frost zealot on hc ladder and am up to lvl 44. I was mf with my sorcy and eldritch was kind enough to drop me a 7/6/18% vampire Gaze. I have not heard anyone mention these on this kind of pally so I was wondering what I should do with it. SHould I trade it for better pally gear? If so,what could I get? Right now I am using Haesos (however you spell it) curass. Good def, little for anything else, face of horror mask, weapon is ok for awhile, fleshrender now, demon limb after,ethereal goblin toe boots, and fairly crappy rare gloves, and rare belt. ANy idea?

Why you should trade that? Dmg Reduction, Dual Leech... And you are wearing a Face of Horror? why... dont... you.... trash the face of horror.. and ... use .. VAMpIre gAze?!

but indeed... i can't think of that much better things for a zealot then a gaze, specialy nothing affordable.

actualy i am building a zealot using gaze right now... trowing storm as well, to have 50% dmg reduction.

If you were softcore I would drop it for a G. Face (orphan's set) due to the crushing blow it has. However, that dr might be really needed for hardcore, althought the leech wont be great in nightmare or hell mode due to penalties. Even without penalties your dealing mostly cold damage so leech won't help alot. Just my thoughts.

I used a gaze on my paladin for a little while, but I switched it for Tal's mask for its better leeches and resists. The mana and life bonuses are useful, too.

I love gaze. It was the first good item I ever got. I did get it from the niceness from others. Yes they where dumb to even give it away thinking that a tals mask was better. Hell at the time I did too. The only thing I could give back to the person is the fact that I have been using it ever since.

I use Gaze + Shaft on my Act II merc. It helps to keep him alive.
