View Full Version : Looking for Berserker/Glorious Axe OR Colossal Sword OR Colossus Blade
Ok, I'm pretty hurtin for a good weapon for my barb, I have the right runes to make Honor. So i'm lookin for one of these weapons, preferable socketed, but if not I will use socket quest and hope for 5.
Where in the game do you think would be the best place to look for these items? Please be specific, which area, in which act, in what difficulty level. Thanks in advace.
Most people tend to look for CBs and Berserker axes in the pit of the Tamoe Highlands in Hell.

wow, thanks a lot, I did a few runs and so far I've found 1 glorious ace and one colossus blade. Now the problem is when I socket them, they get 6 sockets and not teh 5 I need. Oh well, keep trying I guess.
You might want to try the new socket receipe which gives a random amount of sockets - no guarantee,but better than nothing ,heh. ^^
Dekz - Larzuk will always put the max number of sockets an item can get into it if you found the item in hell. So you're ALWAYS going to get 6 sockets from the socket quest with Pit weapons.

Halciet, thanx again for a helpful reply, lol. Luckily it didn't take me very long to rush some mules to act 5, lol. So how would I go about getting 5 sockets in it? I've looked allover diabloii.net for the recipe Asheron told me about, but I can't seem to find it. I also could swear I say a recipe somewhere that would make a socketed item, not socketed anymore, and destroy what was socketed in it. Anybody heard of this? If so, whats the recipe?

Here it is directly quoted from Arreat summit:
1 Ral Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst + Normal Weapon = Socketed Weapon of same type
The number of sockets created will vary. The item must be normal and unsocketed. Low-quality items and superior items do not work. The item gets 1-6 sockets, randomly. However, the number of sockets is then restricted by the maximum number of sockets that base item with that ilvl can have. For example, if you have an item that can only have 2 sockets, there's a 5/6 chance of getting 2 sockets and a 1/6 chance of getting 1 socket.
