I'm wanting to know if this is a viable hell mode build or not. I'm playing solo not online.

20 Sacrifice
20 Redemption
20 Fanatacism
20 Thorns
rest in pre reqs and just whatever else is felt like

I'm going to use Sacrifice as the main attack, redemption for after battle healing and for synergy to sacrifice, Fanatacism for tough bosses and uniques and as a synergy to Sacrifice, and thorns as my primary aura ( for crowd control since I know it's gonna be hard to stay alive having to whack each and every enemy with sacrifice ).

As for skill points I'm opting for ALL strength and vitality, no energy, and no dex.

Equipment will be a large maul of some sort since no dex requirements, and they have huge damage. Only light armor is to be worn and that's just for resistances and cosmetics. ( gotta look cool too ya know? )

Anyways what do you guys think? Look it over :spy: and tell me what you think. Just wanted some input here on a slightly different build.

Well since no one is going to answer guess I'll unnaturally bump this up.

I know that the reason no one is answering is cause they must think my build or my post suck. If I'm not talking about badass weapons or some super frosty orb sorcy or whatever, I'm gonna get pushed aside hunh? :(

Answering your own post twice might be considered a tad "pushy".

Try using the Amp Damage curse to double the returned damage from Thorns:

1)Atma's Scarab (unique Amulet): 5% Chance for slvl 2 AD

or

2) Witchwild String (unique Short Siege Bow): 2% Chance for slvl 5 AD. This will go on an ACT-1 rogue mercenary.

or

3) A Polearm/Spear with "of Amplify Damage" suffix: 5% Chance for slvl 1 AD. This will go on an ACT-2 mercenary.

AD is also go at removing most Physical Immunities from monsters.

You can also invest a few points into Conversion, for a meatshield.

You may want to get your dex a little higher (100-120 base) for AR purposes.

You probably want a faster weapon than a Maul, if you're going to go without a shield.

You probably want a much higher damage weapon than a Maul. An elite weapon perhaps.

Forget dex. If you don't need it for weapon reqs or blocking then stick those points in vit. AR on charms a/o equip and whatnot will do fine.

Your build isn't viable, however. You'll lose almost all of your hp with a few sacrifice hits. Thorns won't damage monsters faster than they heal. You have no shield, and since you're a pala without a skill like WW, any mob in hell will rip you apart.

I'm assuming he would want to use Sacrifice to actually kill some of the monsters. How's he going to do that with no dex (The AR boost from Fanat + Sacrifice aren't enough with base dex). If he's solely relying on Thorns to do his killing then why invest in Fanat and Sac?

Thanks guys. I felt a little overlooked there. It's my first post to this forum, and I posted this thing several days ago and NO one even thought to answer. I'm going to depend on HUGE life leech to keep this pally alive, any ideas as to what?

Also I didn't intend to use a "maul" persay, just a large hammer class weapon, maybe a unique maul or an elite socketed maul.
