I'm trying to get acquire gear for werewolf on ladder

basically I want to go fury/rabies using carrion wind

weapon of choice is tomb reaver which I figure to shael shael (something) to hit 6/4 fury and 5 rabies, and I'm too poor to throw in ed/ias jewels so I'll put something nice in that last socket, suggestions? will probably use bonehew to lvl up to use tomb reaver

armor, right now I have leviathan 40str 17DR and I will probably use that

helm? cerebus or jalals? both have nice mods, I'm torn between resists & fhr and those sexy cerebus mods, so throw some advice at me

belt- string/verdungos

gloves- gonna try and wrangle up a pair of draculs

ammy- no clue, maybe highlords if I can spare it

boots- upped gores or IK

rings- ravenfrost & carrion wind

for pvp I don't have the gear yet, so its basically an afterthought at this point, but probably storm + gris caddy? getting caddy isnt too hard, but getting stuff to socket into it :)

and what sage would you recommend? any other advice?

thanks guys

try to get a 15% dr verdungo's... don't worry about the vit, the most life ur gonna get from a verduno's is 80... that's before and after shifting and oak sage (yeah, we got the shaft on that one)... oh wait, ur just worrying about pvm right now? then gogo 15% dr string...

i would personally go with Oak Sage...

EDIT: Jalal's is the better overall pvm helm if you ask me... but other people might say otherwise

pvp is a little out of my price range but I could potentially muck about and lose alot, I think I've got a 14DR verdungos that should do me well

I'd go for Oak since Rabies won't benefit much from the damage increase of HoW and more life means more time to try to infect people. ^^

Your main weapon should be griz+storm and only use the shael'd tomb against casters or opponents where it comes handy to have range 5. (shift fury is thx with range 5)

Shael'ing the Tomb Reaver is actually a good idea since you'll get as you mentioned a 5 Frames rabies which helps alot.

For teh caddy ,you could just throw shaels into it until you got the funds for fancy ed/ias jools, since the damage difference of an unsocketed and a 300+ caddy is "only" about ~20-30 damage on the weapon itself.

P.S: i got a ladder SS you could use if need be. :)

I would get a shaft and go 2h for all pvp
jalal for PvM
for PvP can't tell so easily.
put eth or lo in the 3rd socket

I don't think I could go shael shael eth, as an old pvp barb and druid vet it would be blasphemous

why do you think that_

socket it with Jah for PvP then. ^_____________________^;;

Cham it!

I would acctually Gul it, since i never have enuff ar. But if going cerebus, Lo or heck, Ohm is also good.

shift fury is range 5 although the animation of the attacker doesn't say so.

I'm poor, I'm trading gul to get tomb reaver

How about Io for deadly strike? I dunno...

Jalal's is good for PvM. So is Oak.

If you happen to get Dracul's(life tap) you won't probably need the life leach from string so verdungos would probably be better.

I actually think you would do quite well with just the tomb reaver since you'll have tanks(Returned IIRC) for defensive measures and a shield isn't as usefull then.

How about Io for deadly strike? I dunno...

Careful, Io grants Vitality, whereas Lo grants Deadly strike in weapons and 5% max lightning resist in armors.

Just thought I'd clarify. =]

well I got this guy started and just kicked the crap out of duriel and it prompted me to ask, I heard there was some screwiness with the calculator and feral rage, what speed feral rage would I get with a 100ias tomb reaver?

it seems like a good skill to throw extra points into

Right you are Asheron

Having a point in Grizzly will be beneficial also... but not in all situations.

I guess you could drop points into feral, but I thought it doesn't give that much lifeleach after a few points(including +skills) in it. More points into WW could be nice for AR.

Have you got poison facets? They could be usefull. And Bramble for some situations. And I'll mention Trang's gloves also while I'm at it... :D

edit: If you haven't maxed lycantrophy before throwing extra points in feral... :grrr:

Feral is sexy indeed, but I'd suggest to leave it at base lvl and let the + skills do the rest.

shift fury is range 5 although the animation of the attacker doesn't say so.
So does this mean that if you attacked with a weapon that is less than range 5, if you shift fury it acts as range 5?

yes, but animationwise, you still are not attacking to the opponent, although the opponent gets hits.

triple shael the tomb till you get a good ed/ias for max fury. :)
