i no this isnt the trade forum but i really doubt anyone there has a custom pb like the ones we druids use. there are ones with 6 sheals but ive never seen a 4 shael 2 ed/ias jewel one posted in the trade forums yet.. so im wondering if anyone has one for trade? :D

Hate to tell you, but garbad lost his sanity a couple of years ago. He only has skillet scabs for brains now. :cheesy:

The funny thing is..the people that would have an item like this wouldnt trade it cuz they pvp druid, and unless they hated pvp druid and wanted to get rid of the weapon i doubt ppl would want to trade them. But i wish you good luck in youre journey:D

I had one as well. 4 x Shael, 75% ED, 110% IAS (of course).

That was one Europe, never seen anything close to it before. Sold it to Snowblind for a pretty penny (let it go quite cheap, there was some real personal affection into that piece of gear).

I only used it for PvP though, and PvP and Bears and 1.09 didn't quite match IMO. Or rather Bears and Europe don't go together. Very few good druid players out there. 99% of all players there are still convinced Eth. Hellslayer it the ultimate weapon because (and I quote) "Bears make it faster". :lol:

For 1.10 though, I would probably debate about 4 x Shael and 2 x AR/IAS (even more rare) or 2 x All Res. / IAS wouldn't better. This is, indeed, the casters patch and the high defense patch. So basicly, I would rather put my money on boosting what's important. The characters a Bear is most likely to have problem with is Barb, Necros, Sorcs and alikes. There either resistance is of importance, or high AR.

For a mauler ed/ias is still best. For a FC bear, resist all ias is best. Remember the ar boost from a jewel is insignicant when compared to the fine vitas you are packing also (on a mauler).

25+/IAS is worth what the owner thinks it worth.

Some settle with 25/15 as good enough. Since Everything above 36/15 has been massively duped on all realms. But, acctually, I've heard several rumours (and seen on some occassions very suspicious evidence) that everything from 25+ and up has been duped. At least on Europe.

IMO, it's worth less than a high rune, but no far away. Their value is getting a bit lower though as so many people go with casters now a days.

Ed/ias jewels are actually a relatively common drop (in the realm of godly items). Zharous has found no less than 10 35+ ias jewels and several 15 max 15% ias.

Speaking of which, don't neglect 15 max 15% ias. They sell for much less and are reasonably effective (about as good as a 25% ed ias).

But why ED/IAS, actuall any IAS with second mod that you need will be better then ED/IAS, ED is very little with a phase lade and your damage is from Fire not Physical right?

Thinks 30 max is pretty much beaten out by 55% ED. So, 2 x 25% would be worse than 30 max. But 2 x 30% is better than 30 max. It takes a pretty big step in average there.

Mind you, that because the Bear deals with a fast attack, at 4-frames per swing, it's not the damage for each hit we're interrested in, but the average damage over a second. That's why we primarily want to boost average damage. Best done with either minimum damage or Enhanced Damage. Funny as it is, the game uses both the maximum and minimum value to calculate average (odd, isn't it :p). So, max damage does increase average as well. Just not as much as quality ed/ias.

I did these calcs when I first put together the my sword. Because I had both options availiable. It turned 2 x 30% ED/IAS in a 15% Superior Phase Blade was better than 29 max or so...

And Garbad, I don't what kind of monsters you got over there but here on Europe our Quill Rats doesn't poop high runes...
