Lightning skills.....

Need some input on these skills:

Power Strike
Lightning Bolt
Lightning Stike

Which one is good, and when do you use it?

Right now, I have max lightning fury and charged strike,
and 40 free skill points.

I am thinking of only picking one out of the three.

Any input is appreciated!

I would suggest you max out at least two of those three synergies for LF and CS. Well worth the skill investment. You probably wont use any of them for attacking, except LF and CS.

I would go for power strike. With lightning fury you'll never need lightning strike and lightning bolt is pretty worthless. Power strike however can be more effective than charged strike on single small targets that won't get hit by all the CS bolts.

i do agree on this, although you will end up using power strike like 0.01% of the time (although it's fun to read 5 digit numbers, my last zon topped at 109xx iirc)

I disagree, Power Strike is good against ONE monster only, whereas Charged Strike is good against multiple monsters. Charged Strike will deal with the mob and when there's only one left - which is where Power Strike might shine - there's simply no danger left (how many times have a single monster really been scary?).

Lightning Strike is nice because it deals very NICE with large scattered mobs where Lightning Fury might be hard to use with 100% effectivity(sp? very tired), Lightning Strike is a finese skill, once you learn to master the Charged Strike/Lightning Strike and Lightning Fury combo you'll tear through ANY LI mob in eight-player hell with ease.

well, im not sure what you disagree on. i dont think it really matters what synergy you get, heck you can even divide them up evenly. the point of the matter is, cs and lf you use 99.99% of the time, the other ones are just for fun.

lightning strike is indeed a finesse skill; however, finesse loses out to raw power approx 99.99% of the time. how many nova sorcs have you seen lately, when it's definitely one of the best "finesse" skill? and yes, ive tested it too, but even with the so called scattered mobs, its plain faster to cs them one at a time than wait for ls to kill them all.
