My barb is at lvl 70. I have built this as a total frenzy barb. finding out now just how inflexible it is. Here are the skill points.

10 double swing
20 frenzy
20 mastery mace.
1 leap
1 LA
1 bash
1 double throw
5 IS
5 NR
4 BO
11 taunt
1 howl
1 shout
1 BC

Here is my problem. My original goal was to max out BO and increase the frenzy sinegys. However I played some pvp and got destroyed by a WW barb at the same lvl. Should I, at this point try to build WW. Or just keep with my plan. This frenzy barb does well in pvm. It is even staying alive in hell act 1. I also know that my equipment is not the best at this point.

You will always have a very hard time going up against a WW barb, mainly because they have to stop their ww in order for you to hit them, so dont feel bad because a ww barb wins against you. Try going up against someone else. I would recommend that you max your bo in all situations, PvM or PvP.
If you wanted a barb that does well in PvM and keeps up in the dueling games, then make a frenzy (for dueling barbs).

Thank you.
Do you think the build it self makes sense. Putting a side the equipment issues becouse I think the build is a bit more important. Any really good equipment you find is a bonus.

commentary on the build, max BO before you start pumping taunt, whats your equipment like? if you have a few +skills then 1 into NR is probably plenty and 5 into iron skin, same deal as taunt, get BO first. I like the 10 in double swing, its nice early on and its there when you need it when you get mana burned.

You might also want to consider battle cry and war cry. Battle cry (I'm assuming by BC you meant battle command) is very useful for dropping enemy defense and it works on bosses, and war cry is great for defending against groups of enemies. I'm just talking pvm, pvp frenzy barb would be tough to do and I have no recent experience with one.

My gear is Black Hades Chaos Armor, 2 Fleshrender Barbed Clubs, Sureshrill Frost Flanged Mace, Hand of Blessed Light Divine Scepter. I have the IK belt sigon set gloves and boots. I also have the belt that i swich off for the bonuses. A rare lion helm that give 3 to battle cry" so i know about and really dig this skill. I did not mention it becouse it was granted by an item.
But thats bacialy my rig.. I have a nice ring and ammy too. but I see lots better stuff to have..

Your suggestions are very helpful. Thank you..

you'll need 8-10 points into warcry for a good hell Frenzy barb. And battlecry helps a ton as well. I find frenzy is kind of a sucky build but fun for multi player baal runs. I warcry stun the whole set of monsters for 3.8 seconds and they all die before they can move again :)

I never put much stock in that skill.. But what you say makes allot of sence. Not sure if at lvl 70 I'll have the points left to devote to it. But I have already started planing my next barb..

How will you handle PIs in Hell? I think you either need to get a point in Berzerk, or find yourself some weapons that do some serious elemental damage like Baranars.

Also, as mentioned above, BO should be maxed. It's always the first thing I max when I build a barb. War Cry is a great skill, and, while more points are definitely helpful in increasing stun time, you can get by with just a couple if you're willing to recast it a lot.

While Frenzy barbs are loads of fun to play PvM, with regards to PvP, I've never gotten the impression that a Frenzy barb makes a good dueler. I've always adhered to the old maxim, "A barb without a shield = a dead barb".

Frenzy Barbs are a lot of fun- I recomend maxing Taunt before Double Swing because Taunt is about the most useful tool a Frenzy barb can use. I reduces the damage and chance to hit by a huge amount at max, and makes those annoying archers to stop shooting arrows and walk over to you to meet their doom. Between Taunt and and Howl (only 1 point required) you have great crowd control. Sometimes I even taunt when I don't need the crowd control just for the decrease in enemy AR and Damage. For my Barb I decided to leave Double Swing at 1 and put the points in Iron Skin (since I don't have a shield).

If you want a WW barb you'll have to start over- you can't build a good one with all the points already invested in Frenzy.

For dueling with a Frenzy Barb- probably the best trick is to run off into the Blood Moor and kill a few monsters before running back to try and kill your opponent- that way you get the Frenzy charge up before you attack the other player, and sometimes you'll be so fast he won't react quick enough to get away.

Battle Cry is nice- but a waste of points for a Frenzy Barb. Better to just use Taunt which is already a synergy with Frenzy.

This all sounds good.. I'm playing some catch up ball by not having maxed out BO. But I had another though to divert a few points to CON. Becouse BO is it synergy. This would give like 200% more damage and allow me more flexableity

I have level 15 Warcry battle orders and shout. Sicne The monsters are stunned for 4 seconds, they can't attack, block, defend, move or cause me any damage. So I don't need a max BO. I have +2-3 warcry weapons on switch. Battle cry does the same things as taunt, only better with just 1 point investment.
