Well,

I havent posted alot of times, but have always been helpful... I hate to say it, but I HATE the people who play d2x... I have performed countless acts of random kindness from rushing people (for free never paid) to offering advice or giving people the right items for their chars just so its more fun for everyone... but tonight was the last straw!!! The unending wave of greed and selfishness that has taken over this game has grown to epidemic proportions... The dreaded f list has gained me nothing but a full screen of spam from people who refuse to whisper directly to whom they are speaking... and the only time i get a message is when it contains the most annoying word of all "gimmie".
Every thing I have in this game I have personally earned, through countless hours of gaming, mfing and trading... only to have it ripped away by some talentless little s hit who was only smart enough to download a hacker program (of which he could never have written himself in a million years).
From the items he did not manage to pilfer I have decided to let die with my account. I am sure that there are some, and I mean some (as in very few), decent people left in this game. But, I have yet to find them.
I do feel a little better having blown off some steam and for those of you who took the time to read this, thanks for listning for a sec.

I'm sorry you didn't encounter the same... or the ones you did meet just moved on. Either way, it's something we all must do and I wish you the best of luck.

If you don't wish to give up the game all together... may I recommend a visit to the Single Player Forum?? It would be easier to organise games with those you've conversed with and you may find a higher average caliber over there.

I just had a great idea... I am still leaving, just cant stomach it anymore, but will give my items away in a friendly constest of trivia.
prizes: 1.10 ik set, maras, ptravs, shako, enigma, coh, tucs, 5xs trap charms, botd zerk (non eth), tgods, and other crap I can't think of at the moment... this little trivia game will take place in a couple days, i'm too put off at the moment. I will post the game name with password in a couple days. and this game/items are for non-ladder softcore... might as well get one last piece of enjoyment out of this game before I leave.

Thats really too bad that you are leaving. I guess I fall into one of the few... I have been know to actually go & "buy" items for people so they can be better equiped when starting out.

I know how you feel about the greed factor, I can dump an entire mule of gear & still have some one who was there when I did it complain they didn't get anything or more...

The game idea is a great one. Go for it. Just remember that there are some out there who play for fun still. :wave:

Hi,i m kinda new here but i ve played d2 for a few months again now.

But i played alot like 2-3 years ago.I quitted because i got sick & tired of hacking,spamming etc.

Now with 1.10 i started playing again in the hope that all this would be solved.

Apparently false hope.Tho i got hooked to the game again. I m getting frustrated many times while i m playing : tradehacks,greedy ppl,not finding a person to boost me tru normal (yes normal),spambots,not finding **** at mephiruns :grrr:. Also battlenets many bugs etc.....

I found some nice ppl to play with and the last few weeks i 've found pleasure in playing again.
Now, i play on europe,sc nl and if anyone needs to have some ppl to lvl with, have fun with or whatever without getting ripped,spammed,...

First off, not that it bothers me, but why did you post to the assassian forms? I woud thing your post would be better served on the general forms but anywho.

There are people like you, I happen to be one myself. I will offer advice, help and occosainly items to people, but only if they come off as inteligent. SImply spamming RUSH ME NOW RUSH ME NOW RUSHE ME NOW.

I also try to do the same when I ask for things, and generally get much better results. For example, instead of simply asking for help with anciest, the other day I said something like "Might someone help me defeat the ancients? I just cant bring myself to assissinate three old men" followed by /emote "just cant admit to herself that the old men thopped her twice". Within seconds, I had 3 offers for help :)

As far as the hacks/dupes. It seems that most of them have been eliminated. I know that there are a few working ladder dupes, but they are not public. Trade hack doesnt work anymore, and there is no new version. The only way someone could have hacked your account is A. You gave them your password somehow B. You downloaded a Trojan with a keylogger and the person recorded your passowrd. Without the hacker knowing your password somehow, there is no way he could hace hacked you raccount.

Sorry to be blunt, but if you've been playing long enough to aquire the gear you mentioned, you should have no excuse for getting hacked, as it can eaily be prevented.
