From what I recall, yes it does. It will knock them back in the direction you hit them in. So fi you hit them straight on, it will knock them back, or if you hit them on the side, it will knock them away.

when you get good at it, you can kb things and hit them 10+ times with 1 ww

I used BK CB on a barb in .09 and I found the combination of knockback and crushing blow to be very effective against cows, I managed to lvl the guy to 85 without any DR by virtue of CB & KB, that was fun
