PvP: Poison Jav

Ok right now my poison zon, LoD_Poisoness (US East non-ladder) is lvl 76. I have. . .
20 Poison Jav
20 Plague Jav
8 Dodge
8 Evade
8 Avoid
5 Penetrate
5 Pierce
1 Crit Strike (should I add more?)
1 Lightning (pre-req)
9 jab (plannin on puttin 1-6more in)

I still have to do hell Radi and Izzy. But my question is for PvP what should I use for a killing skill, since poison doesnt kill. Im thinking lightning because I already have one point, but then again theres always just reg throw. Any ideas? Oh yea gear is as follows. . .

Right now I have a 20-22k poison jav over 56 secs which comes out to 357.14-392.86 a sec. And a 14-15k plague jav over 12.6 secs, which comes out to 1111.11-1190.48 psn a sec. I dont plan on using facets because I'm not rich enough to afford them, and everyone throws away psn facets as worthless. So any idea what my secondary skill should be. . .? I'm thinkin for melee, throw a plague jav then start jabbin away, and range throw poison javs to make em go where I want em, then throw a plague when I can. But how do I finish them off if psn doesnt kill? :scratch:

I might be waaay off on this.. but doesn't the javelin itself damage the enemy? I know this is the case when using Lightning Fury -- that's how you leech, after all :)

The jav does dmg them, but making sure they at least run through the psn is hard enough, hitting them with it is another matter, and I figure since lightning has a larger diamater it'll be easier to hit em :scratch:

first of all, the poison damage is applied after the javelin damage, making it impossible to kill with physical damage unless another javelin is thrown.

second of all, only poison from jewels/charms/equipment cant kill in pvp. the actuall skill can kill if they run through the poison clouds.

i was playing with my friend and he was laughing at me because he said i couldnt kill him with poison.. soon enough, he ran through my clouds at 1 life and died =D

same thing applies to poison nova. it can also kill in pvp

So you're saying if they have 1 life, and they run through my psn cloud they'll die?!?! That just saved a lot of headaches. :worship: Right now I'm pumpin out a 14-15k plague jav over 12.6secs with a 246% bonus to mr AR. Only thing I hate is the excrucingly (sp?) long timer. I think it's like 2.5 secs. So I just throw reg psn javs in between which is also maxed for a synergy bonus.

oh btw...

try getting trangs gloves and bramble armor. +% damage is better than +skills because it doesn't add time for your poison to work.. meaning faster killing =) also get A LOT of + skills. i have level 3 ..... 7? plague javelin and it does 53k (yes, 53000) minimum poison damage over 17.x seconds. and i'm not even maxed on java gcs or wearing bramble (yet)

I have trangs gloves, Does Bramble add res too, because I need all the res I can get. And looks like I'm going shopping tommorow after an extended mule to figure out what charms I dont need so I can fit some space for jav gc's.

well... you don't really need angelics because the actual javelin doesnt have to hit for the skill to take place.. as long as it hits them (the javelin animation, not the actual javelin) so you can replace those with sojs or whatever you like.. and i don't use bramble, i use COH (60 res all, DR, +2 skills) so i might recommend that to you also. bramble is probably the best though. the thorns will kill your opponent if they are at 1 life from your poison

I use those psn charms for melee, I think Ill just keep my two 100 over 5sc's though. That way I'll still have some psn, but have enough room to get jav GC's

blizzard has messed up the amazon by destroying melee skills. its all about casting plague javelin or charged strike now. melee has no point if you can kill them in 2 seconds with an (almost) unblockable elemental skill.

But thats why I chose the plaguezon in the first place with jab. No one uses it. In fact every javazon Ive seen in pubs once theyre hit with my psn try an use plague jav and wonder why it sucks. It's quite funny to watch theyre life drop while I just sit there with there measly psn trying to kill me :flip:

One psn Nova cannot kill in PvP like other skills. IF, and only IF someone is at ONE and only ONE hitpoint...then psn nova will kill with. If they have higher than one HP, even 2, then psn nova will just drain them to 1.

Druids rabies is the most powerful psn killer (for pvp) in the game. Im not sure if a psn javalin works the same way...but a rabies druid can just infect his victim once and then walk away, they will drop dead from the psn.

If u want to kill in pvp invest 1 pt into guided to finish them off....if u dont wanna invest a point(like me..do u see guided and its mass about of preqs) use a widowmaker and finsih people off...its pretty easy
