I recently acquired a Griffons Eye and I found that Baal is much easier now with CS. So I decided to trade for a Thunderstroke so I could really do some damage to Baal. I have found that having both Thunderstroke and Griffons does not do too much to his resists (both add up to -31% Lightning resist).

My question is, do Thunderstroke and Griffons stack or is it just one of the two that get factored into the equation?

hmm i alway felt that wearing griffon and tstroke seems to help on them, but most that is based on my experiences with pvp, and i have no documentation for this, sided note cs and tstroke will rip big D no problem. if u want to go all light many use ormus robe with tstroke and griffon eye.

Well, I am trying to get more -enemy lightning resists over +lightning skill damage. I figure if I get enough I can kill LI's. I am trying to find other items that will add to the lower enemy resists (without using a Lower Resist charged Necro Wand).

hmm breaking the resist could be pretty hard to do, but i would put on both griffon and tstroke and trying to kill those ghost in chaos sanc, they arent all that immunes as both low lvl convition and low resist can take away immunity. c if your cs damages them in that gear, there is a shield that cast low resist, maybe that is your ticket.

Just to clarify and to help you... That shield that casts lower resists is Medusa's gaze. I to considered using this on a Lightning Javazon, but never got around to it.

I believe both G-eyes and Tstokes stack for the -% lightning resist. The only thing is nothing can break an immunity except for lower resist or conviction. Once that happens though, the -%resist kicks in and you can kill those LIs with speed.

lower resist and conviction are strange because they don't work in conjunction with each other. it's either 1 or the other.

And what lvl would the lower res have to be to break it. I found a wand today that has 85 charges of lvl 2 lower res, would that be enough to break it?

i have a sorc who uses a lvl 3 LR charged dagger, and when i do the council in act 3, i know that's enough to kill the lightning immunity on those guys, but i'm not sure about the ghost things in the chaos. it seems like it should, but switching back and forth might be a pain.

i agree the resist is entirely monster dependent i got a nerco that has a decent lvl lower res around 18 i think, so immunities never break, others seem to break easily. seems like the cold ones are more sturdy if i member right, possibly best 2 man team is foh/conviction pali with lf zon or sorc, its almost not fun, oooooooo conviction, shivers, lol

I heard that LR is a straight subtraction of your resists while Conviction is a subtraction of a percentage (E.G. If a monster has 50% Lightning Resist and you have Conviction at 50%, the monster's resist would be 25% not 0%). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Aslo, I tried to test it out with act1 rogues that have 110% Lightning Resist and eventhough the LI did not go away, it looked like they were taking extra damage. Can someone verify if this is correct or am I just imagining it.

One more thing fyi...While testing this out I went to mule some stuff and while waiting I went to kill Diablo in normal mode. ONE HIT KILL!!!
