Some simple Dueling Rules 4 Newbs

Ok please follow these rules in D2 Dueling...

1) No nk!!! (naked kill), meaning, if u kill some one, let them pick up their body
2)In melee duels, wait untill the person says "go", before u start attacking
3)Do NOT Use slow!!!!U will upset people!!! :rant:
4)Let people put on their skills before u start attacking them...
5)DO NOT hostile people lower lvl then u!!!(if u lvl 60, do not hostile lvl 40)
6) DO NOT town hug (meaning stand in side town, come out, shoot acouple of times, and then come back in)

Are you talking about "newbs" on forums or in games. . .because I see you have three posts too. Anyway, I don't agree with that level thing. . . If they join a pk game that's their fault, if they unhostile I will too. So you're saying a level 99 can never hostile anyone? These rules are basically Mannered Dueling. . .

7) No town guarding (especially trapasns, although a lot of boners and wind druids also do this).

8) Do not go into into "low level duels" games if you're a high level (clvl 50+).

9) This is a matter of preferance and build, but I personally really hate it if a char has poison damage on it.

10) No doubleteaming one person.

11) No cursing/name-calling.

12) Say "gd" or "good duel" after each duel, unless one of you wasn't ready or some dueling rules were broken. "gd" is normally said out of good manners, much like you would say "thank you" in real life.

13) No using potions (Healing/Mana/Antidote/Stamina/Rejuvenation), during a duel.

14) Whirlwind and Smite ARE melee attacks; don't let anyone tell you otherwise.


Also, I agree with A_S_G, in that it doesn't make sense if you can't hostile a low level character. It's possible for a lvl 9 character to beat up a lvl 99 character.

decep? as in deception? well newb shall be newbs the only true way a person can learn is by first hand so if they get yelled at or ticked off then they'll just look back at it and laugh knowing they did the same thing once. :yep:

If you mean decrepify, the necro curse, none of the posts above said anything about it not being allowed in the normal moral dueling rules.

"Slow" is a mod that's on some weapons, such as The General's Tan Do Li Ga and Kelpie Snares.

If someone hostile or unhostile me, i'll do the same.
If someone dies and no one picks the gold, i wouldnt pick too.
If no one town guards me, i wouldnt town guard him too.
If no one nk me, i wouldnt nk him too.
If i see more than 1 is killing a particular person, when the guy is not doing anything bad, i will help the lonely fellow.
If more than 1 is killing a particular person who is rude, i will help the mass to ensure the guy drops all his gold.

Here's another one that should be true for the channels, games, and forums -- learn how to spell. I understand if people type fast and make mistakes a lot, but "4", "NE", "any1", "Ty", and "Thx", among others, are NOT words. When someone uses these, it makes me want to bi*ch-slap them. :rant:

It's not leet speak. Leet speak is using numbers and other characters look like letters in words. 5|_|(|-| 4$ 7|-|15.

You bring up a good point in Thx, Ty, Tp, and Gd, since even I use 'tp' and 'gd' sometimes.
